Was the "Senior Manager" of someone calling me about winning a sweepstakes. I am broke and desperate enough to enter those occassionally, so when the guy didn't ask for financial info or anything, but instead needed me to come to an office in person, I admittedly heard him out. The first dude said I had won because their company "Great Center" or "Grade Center" (both men had strong Indian accents, the first caller had a Utah number) sponsored some sweepstakes via receipt/coupon surveys in shopping locations like Walmart and since I'd won, I don't have to buy anything or be a customer, they're just promoting themselves through the partnership. This "Jay the Senior Manager" guy asks me to explain my understanding, so I do, and then he tells me "no, absolutely wrong" and goes on to tell me how they're "promoting travel" and describes the vacation package the first guy described. So, now I'm annoyed that he's being rude and condescending, but he schedules a time I can go pick it up, but before telling me the address asks "can you be there for an hour, hour and a half?" and I'm like, "I mean, sure, but what's going to take so long?" and he yells, "I just told you! You know what, have a great day, bye." I snap back, "You were just telling me so****ing about how this 'isn't a timeshare and im not a customer so i dont have to buy anything' that doesn't explain why you're mad." and he's just like "Bye." At this point I ***g up because with all that nonsense and rude behavior, it's got to be a scam, so glad wasting 10 minutes of my life always meant 10 minutes he wasn't getting paid for being a disgusting p.o.s.
