Received a call from someone on July 26th. They told me I took out a payday loan and never paid it back. I had a payday loan and it was repaid. I asked for the name of the company that I "supposedly" had the loan with. He refused to give me the name of the company. I asked him for proof and he told me the proof would be me getting arrested at 4:30P.M. He then went on to say that they would be going after my brother etc... I informed him to contact my attorney which he refused. I ***g up the phone and called my attorney. My attorney called me back today and told me that this is a SCAM and do not give them ANY INFORMATION..... Just wanted to pass my story along.

Letting  everyone  know I  got a  call from this number  and they  stated that  this  was Officer Greg  Martin  from the  Federal Crimes  Department this  gentleman  spoke in a  very  thick  middle  east ern  or  indian  accent. They  claimed that they  had  federal  charges a***nst my  wife for a  debt   she  owed.DO  NOT  GIVE  THEM  ANY Personal  Information. They  will   give you  the last  four  digits of the persons  social  security  number this  can  be obtained  from  anytihng you have  done on the  internet.Okay  let  us take a  moment for a  reality  check--- 1  any  federal  officer  does  not  call to  collect  debt they  do not  use  tactics  as  they are  coming   to your house to  arrest  you . This  has been  confirmed  both  by  my  Attorney  my  wife  and  myself  since . Myy  Brother in  law is a federal prosecutor my  wife is a  former  credit manager  and  I  am  a  former  Federal  Police Officer. What  are the  chances that  these idiots  called the  wrong  person  this  ti*****ey  will harrass you  to  call any  number that  you have  listed on  any  application   for  credit especially  for pay  day  loans. They  buy  up  old  debt  and  use  strong  arm  tactics  and  threaten  you . This in itself  is  illegal  and  in  direct  violation  of the  Federal  Trade  Commission  on  debt  collection.File  a  complaint  a***nst  this number with the  Federal  Trade  Commission   do***ent the  time and  day the  calls  are  placed    mark  down  the names they  give  you. If they  at  anytime durinfg the  conversation  tell you  that  you  are  going to be  arressted  tell them  to have them  come get  you  now the  likely  hood is  no  one  shows  up.Also  notice if this  was  real  you  would be  served  via  notice in the mail  and  not   cursing  at  you  as they  did  to  me and  my  wife  when we  quoted  collection  law  and   falsifying   or  mis  representing your  self  as a  federal  officer most likely they  will give  up  but  don't  be   shocked if they  call your  emplyer as in  my  wifes case big  mistake when  A  fortune  500 company  corporate  legal  gets involved.

They call me talking the same thing. This is a scam DO NOT give them any information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just got a call from this number, luckily i decided to google it before i gave them any imperative information.  He connected me to his "senior officer" and this guy was super rude! i told them i knew this was a scam and he the proceeded to curse me out!!! this is absolutely rediculous!!!

Can you share the address with me. They refused to give me their address.

I have been getting calls for 3 years and told them the person they are looking for does not live there. We tried everything including telling them the person they were looking for is dead. Now that I have a name and number I will be sending them a seas and dissist notification than it is $5,000.00 per call on a law suit.

I received a call tonight from a foreign man with a thick accent. He said his name was Officer Justin Miller of the Federal Crime Dept. He called from 208-***-9862 and left me a threatening message saying he was going to freeze me social security number and that  I could go to jail for the next 9 months. When I ran a trace on the number it came back as a landline. Now that I know its a scam I wont return his call.

I receieved a call from this number as well, first from John Bright then from Robert Marshall, both with strong accents. They said I had taken out a payday loan and didn't pay it back. While this was true, I am indeed late on paying back a payday loan, you cannot be thrown in jail for an unpaid debt. I told him that he was falsly threatening me and he said the charge a***nst me was not for not repaying the loan but for stealing money over the internet because that is how the money was put into my account. I no longer have the bank account active which is why the payments have been late. I told him my ***her was a police officer and had informed me that you cannot go to jail for unpaid debts. He s****ed yelling things like "well is your ***her the governor or president or attorney general? do you think he can just put the whole government in high pocket?" I do not know what to do about this. It is extremely frustrating.

we have been receiving calls at work from this man repeatedly- using different numbers. lastly it was 208-***-9862. He identified himself at Robert Marshall when I asked his name. I told him we had researched him and that he was a fraud, trying to extort money. He got very upset and s****ed yelling- i ***g up.

Just got a call from this number. Told them to stop or I would shove his head up his camel's ___.

I got a threatening phone call from this number. The first name I was given was Greg Martin and the second name was Mike Davis both with foreign accents. Mike Davis is the one that said that if I didn't pay $1836 by the end of the day today I was going to jail. My wife was informed by a relative that this was a scam and when I asked for the address to have the information sent to my attorney as my wife suggested he threatened to have her thrown in jail too. When I ***g up on him he called back and left a very threatening voice mail that my wife saved. He said that I will remember his name for the next 9 months behind bars and said that my "smart wife " was going to be there as well. I'm not sure who I should report this to, but someone has to stop this scam. According to them I had taken out a loan, had it deposited into my account and when they ran my account to take the money back it had bounced. This is a complete lie for I do not even have a bank account at all. I do not have a checking or savings account anywhere. According to Mr. Mike Davis with the foreign accent I will be being arrested within the next hrs over this..

I just received a phone call from them to a John Harris who has an Indian accent as well, stating that he works in the Federal Crime Dept. - he spoke to my employer but I had spoken to my employer earlier letting them know what is going on so they are well aware of the scam and I am going to turn this over to the Crimes Unit at my police department.  I feel sorry for the folks who they get to send them money ... Honestly, we need to do so****ing about these people and shut them down!

these ****s keep calling me and its a scam and all they talk is junk ....

i got a call too and i asked for his name and address because i was forwarding it too my attorney and he ***g up on me ...and i agree its a scam .....

I just received a call from 208-***-9862 a foreign man with a strong accent states there are criminal charges pending a***nst me. States his name is Daniel Stewart and claims they have a file and batch # and will have the police to come to my home. He tole me that he was transferring the call to a senior officer and pressed numbers in my ear. The "senior officer" who also has a strong accent name Mie Davis and was very, very rude when I asked him what is the name of the buisness he is calling from heraised his voice yelling stating he will send police to my home and I will spend get this-- 8-9 months in prison. I still was polite and had not raised my voice and he said good luck and ***g up. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM... I looked the number up on white pages.com and it states that the # was a landline. These folks need to stop.
