Ummm...pay your debts with what?  Hey Ano, can I send you some of my bills?  I was with a company for over 10 years and due to c****es in management I lost my job. The majority of us would like to pay our bills, but when you lose a job or have very high unexpected medical bills it isn't always that easy. Food for the family and the mortgage is more important right now than paying a bill from a collector.  At the end of the month, that's who's going to get my money - food and a roof over my head.  And right now it isn't that easy to find a job. I went from management in a big company and I cannot even get a job at the MacShac.  And I tried.  So don't tell people to "pay their bills" untill you have walked a mile in the debtors. SHUT your pie hole.

ACS Collection Agency.

ACS called me describing an unpaid dental bill.  The caller requested my checking account number or a credit card number,  I refused this info stating I am not going to pay a bill without do***ented proof that I owe the bill.  The caller said they could not send me a bill unless I requested it in writing, so I faxed over a letter of authorization to the number they provided.   It has now been over 3 weeks and I have yet to receive anything from ACS.  Further, I contacted the dental office and found out I DO owe the money however it was less than the amount I was told was due by ACS (assume this is their collection fee or penalty charge).  I have tried on several occasions to contact ACS to "right the wrong", but I only get a busy signal.  Figures.

They call and are very unpleasant, threatening, abusive, and use scare tactics!  I want this to stop!

You're completely clueless.1. I have no debts, none and nothing is owed by me. There is a case of mistaken iden***y; however neither you (you apparently work for them) nor ACS bothers to verify they are getting the right person. If a letter is sent to them to validate the debt and they fail to do so, then they continue to call this is blatant harassment. Do they care and if you file a police report do they even stop. No, they do not. I have done both. The Prosecutor refuses to file because he says they will claim so****ing and in all likely hood a Judge will dismiss and then wha**** continues. 2. Privacy laws don't seem to apply to the Muir Family and his cronies. Should he expect the same for himself, no he should not. 3. We all pay higher medical costs-this is only a fraction of the whole problem. What makes you think that you are so special? 4. This is not a legitimate company what makes you think so? They call the wrong people and harass the wrong people and don't comply with requests to validate debts. Debt validation means you have to verify the validly of the debt for it to be real. A legitimate company would have: 1) Verified the debt when requested to do so and 2) when told they have the wrong number ceased to keep calling. Perhaps you should actually read a copy of the debt validation letters that some attorney's publish on the internet. Most that I have read say so****ing to the effect of stop calling until the debt is verified. I usually average one-two actual false claims a year. This is not uncommon when you have a common name. I always write a letter and mail it certified mail to validate the debt. Everyone of them but one company has responded and that company is Action Collections. They are the only ones who don't provide any information. Now do you think this is a legitimate business? 5. Like everyone should be doing I get a copy of my credit report from the three consumer reporting companies. If there was a debt a***nst me shouldn't it be reported? One would think. Being informed is not a crime, but you are quick to jump to conclusions.

If the debt is from the dental office, then charges were interest off of a bill they did not list as being owed to the customer when inquired about. If it was settled months ago, as the person stated, how would interest accrue? Interest cannot be accrued off of a $0 total. And if you were "miss-stating" and what they were attempting to collect were fees, then for fees that the office does not know about to accrue to a total of vastly more than the bill alone was, then there is still serious cause for concern. There are only a few possible true conclusions: the person in the previous post was lying (so we need no worry ourselves with responding to their post), the office was lying to the customer about a $0 bill (which would be highly unlikely),  ACS is trying to collect debt that has been previously paid(which may account for the unwarranted fees and interest accruing, as they would receive no check for a debt already paid), or ACS bought the debt from the dental office and are now attempting to collect the total with their own fees attached (which can only legally be done if the debtor is informed of this and with a grace period to pay if the debt isn't contractual like a mortgage).  Nothing about your conclusion (except that people should pay their debts, which should not include undue fees) is solid or helpful. All your statements attempted was try to create doubt, which isn't helpful. Doubt can create curiosity which can lead to investigation, but doubt alone as a foundation only leads to misdirection. Honestly, based off of your obvious agenda, i would be surprised if you worked for ACS or a similar company.

It's called interest. The Dental office doesn't see the accrual. It's not a scam it's your bill. Credit Cards charge interest and I don't see you complaining about that.

I find if funny that you are all so quick to****ume the ACS is a way to ploy you into paying your own bills that you neglect to resolve. They are calling you for a valid reason. You are very quick to find every detail about a company you should probably contact about your obligations or let them know if they have a wrong number. Did you ever think that maybe they don't want to talk to you if you are not the right person? Why would they just call for the heck of it? They are also bound by many privacy laws and I appreciate the fact that they are not telling everyone that answers the phone that they are a collection agency. Personally I would find it embarrasing if everyone knew I was in trouble financially. So, instead of wasting all your time beating around the bush and trying to make this legitimate business look bad (When no laws have been broken) Just PAY YOUR Debts. You are the reason for the rising medical costs and why I have to pay so much. I am personally sick of covering your inability to accept responsibilities.

I answered the call one day to get to the bottom of all of this and they stated that they were collecting money from a dental account that was past due. I called my Dentist and they said they had already received the payment months before. The amount they needed to collect was significantly less than the amount that ACS stated. These people are looking to get your money! Money you may not actually owe them so If your getting calls from this number most likely you do owe some money to someone somewhere but not how much they state so be careful and don't let these idiots push you around!

It is a medical collection agency who is obnoxious! They keep calling my phone # and asking for the guy who used to be in business with my husband. The business partnership dissolved and I have his number. I have told them numerous times to stop calling they have the wrong number but they insist they don't. GET A LIFE and quit calling people so much.

This woman called me from 208-955-6609 claiming she had a personal business matter with my husband.  They've called before and I'm sure they said it was for a past due medical bill.  My husband hasn't seen a doctor in nearly ten years!  I asked what company she was with and she told me she didn't like my at***ude and there fore wasn't going to tell me who she was with!  Can you say SPAM!  Make sure you file a police report about this number!  I hope to God no one gets spammed or scammed out of money!!! I am unsure of the nature of these people but i just got a call today from them. I asked what the call was concerning and they would not answer me at all. They only wanted to know who I was. I will never give my information nor will I ever answer to a name you ****** Bi-2#! Get a life. I can just as easily c****e my number.

why do they keep calling?

it sounds like action collection agency who keep calling here but never leave a message. I did answer it a couple of time but mostly no one there,however on one occasion the lady was rude (when I actually talked to someone on there) was looking for me but if I dont know who you are I will not answer the phone. She told me to give myself a message and I asked who she was and what it was concerning and she said thats private information so I told her that if she couldnt give me any idea what she wanted then I know her and she wont return your call, then I ***g up.They have been calling now for 2 months at all hours of the day and night and try to use all these fake numbers to hide behind but it is not working.Go get a real job lady and while you are at it learn some manners, and how to speak nicely on the phone.
