They call claiming they are "Alex Johnson" or "Sean Anderson" an "officer of the law" with some sort of indian accent and that there will be police officers coming to arrest me with all these bogus charges a***nst me on a phony payday loan that I supposedly had... they even had names of friends that I have previously used as referrences on other things & my ssn. They've even called me back after I **** up calling me a "b*tch" and "****** lady... that's all you are is a ****** worthless lady" and one even said "i will track you down and kick your a**" I called the FTC and our state's Attorney General and they both said it's a scam and the only thing I can do is c****e my number or **** up as soon as I realize it's them and not to give them money. They also gave me a list of information that would help determine the difference between a real debt collector and a scammer. A debt collector HAS to send you a written notification with in 5 business days of the first contact. Also, a debt collecting agency and officer CANNOT make ANY sort of threats a***nst you whatsoever... not even to garnish wages. If they do so and it is reported, they can receive fines s****ing at $10,000. My husband is in the military so we can't just c****e our phone numbers, there are way too many people we would have to notify, so we contacted our cell phone providers and downloaded a phone number blocking program and add those numbers to the list as they call. They stop calling for a while but eventually find a number that isn't on the list.

I got this call at work. Saying that had a urgent legal issue. Then they put me hold for the "lawyer"

I got a call at work, which goes through the operator and into my classroom. I ***g up one day cause I was in the middle of class. Then today I got a message in my box. Is there anything I can do to stop them from calling work? This is really annoying. I mean they are tell the secretary that they have an important legal matter. Makes it seem like I am in trouble, and I work at a school with kids!! Not a good thing. I need this to stop!!!

I am getting them too...a***n.  Scam...just ignore.  They cannot legally do anything to you...they are breaking the law by doing this.

I just got 3 calls from this dude on my cell phone and 3 times at work.  I ignored the first two on my work number and answered the 3rd.  The man claimed to be Justin Jones, with "Federal Credit".  And of course he has a thick indian or middle eastern accent....Justin Jones my ****.   I told him that he keeps calling me and leaving messages and that I KNOW his calls are a scam.  I work in the office with the prosecuting attorney and told him I'd be more than happy to transfer his call to him so he could get info to file charges a***nst me.  I told him that I knew he was calling from Iraq, ****stan, or India and that I know the call was a scam.  I asked him to hold while I transferred his call to the prosecuting attorney (who does work in my office) and he ***g up on me.  What a joke.  I think he got the hint, no new phone calls.

they call me all the time and say i owe and I dont owe and NEVER did  they had all my info and that bothers me !! NOONE can do nothing  and I am worried .. I called and explain to them I never did or would borrow and where you get my  info from and HOW you get my info .. The bad part is they dont speak a lick OF ENGLISH !! so  I know its a scam ...

They say call back and they are an attorney

I got a call from this guy who didn't speak very good at all. And he said he was a officer and I need to get back to him as soon as possible.It is a bu***hit and I am going to report him to the FBI.

some one call me today at at that he say his name was david wright and he say it was about a legal issue.

i just got a call from this number too, they left a message at my work number said his name was justin jones.. who are these people?? is it a scam??

Some foreign guy with a deep accent and very generic fake first and last name calls my cell phone every-single-morning. He's called in the past and I've called back saying not to harass me anymore or I'm calling the police. He s****ed yelling at me back... now the calls have returned and I'm sure it's for some scam too, but I just wish it would STOP without me having to c****e my number....

Some nasty lady called me from this number 408-608-0997 and left me a very nasty threat telling me "Got a call from this number and they left a horrible message saying his name was robert smith and he was from a law firm. For me not to disregard this message because it was time sensitive. He said that if i did disregard this message he could then ony wish me good luck and for me to watch as the cituation unfolds upon me." i needed to call her back her name was Sheila Brown (she had a really deep accent) when i called back a gentleman with the name Mike Johnson (heavy accent a***n!!) it was so hard to understand. He said that i was calling a law but it was too noisy to be a law firm, i was able to hear other operators conversations. And he told me i took a payday loan back in Oct 2009 he had all my info address, phone number, email. but i NEVER took out a loan. I told him i needed proof because i never receive any money and to what account did it go to, and check number. He got mad told me he was going to email the info via mail and that we were going to settle this in court. I was like " Please do sir, because i need to know where that money went to and who's bank account did it go to. I' ve had the same bank for the past 5 years and i have proof that it didn't go to my account. and if it was sent by check then they need to know who's checking account that belong to.

8/29/10:  i got a message left for me on my supervisers personal unlisted number at work from these same people. sounds like a scam to me. but i still don't know how they got my name and work number. weird

8/27/10: I had a message from this number for me and I call the number 209 456 5150 and a Joseph Orlando answer the my call and told me that I had a lawsuit a***nst me. For a payday loan I must of got. Which ,I nevered a payday loan online. So I told him nevered this number a***n or I will press charges a***nst them.

I googled the number under reverse phone lookup and this is a cellular phone number. 1-209-456-5150The carrier is level 3 communications LLC-CALocated in San Joaquin, CA.What caught my attention with this messge that was left is that he was indian or ****stany and he had an american name. Robert Smith. Crazy!!
