I recieved a call from a lance martin about a payday loan. He had my social security number, my address, my credit card number,(which I stopped). He told me my rights, told me I was being arrested in federal court in california. He gave me an amount i was to pay and a fax number to send my banking info to. I checked out the fax number it was for seattle washington. I immediately cancelled my accounts and got new ones. This man had me terrified of going to jail for theft by deception, bad checl charges and other criminal charges. after doing research and finding this web page, i realized it was a scam.

I got a call from this number this morning.  I was asleep so I missed the call but he left a voicemail.  He was hard to understand so I had to listen to the message more than once.  He said his name was Dennis Thompson and that it was extremely time sensitive that he hear from me or my attorney.  He said if he didn't here from me all he could do was wish me good luck. I have no idea what he is referring to.

I just got a call from these people this morning, I was sleeping so it went to my voice mail. I listened to the message and could barely understand what the guy was saying because his accent was so thick. He said so****ing about me owing a loan and that if i do not call them back I will be sued. No collection agency or telemarketer is allowed by federal law to threaten you over the phone, I know I worked in collections and telemarketing. I did some research on this phone number and found that it is a scam. These people frighteningly enough, know your personal information, sometimes even your social security number, and will use it to try and trick you. Do not ever give these people money or your personal information. If they keep calling you, tell them that you have reported them to the FBI. It would also be a good idea to actually report them. Received a message from a Robert with a heavy accent.  Have received these scam calls before, now they are becoming a joke.  When he calls back, will ask what company this supposed loan is with, and the phone number, then I will inform him that the FBI is the next person I am going to call and the phone company to put a tracer on my phone to try to locate this s***bag.

I just received a call from this number today. It was a man with an Arabic accent named Lance. He said he was calling from a law firm representing America Advance (a parent company for over 500 pay day loan offices). He was very rude. I was told that I failed to pay back a pay day loan from January 2010 and that his office had tried to contact me via email and mail. I explained that this is the first time I've heard about this and he insisted that I've been notified via email and mail and that I just did not respond. He even went as far as to say that they've come to my home to speak to me. As I was on the phone with him I looked up my banking statements from January and explained that I have no loans in Janauary from this company. I also held him on the line as I looked up all my emails from his "law firm". When I asked him to fax his do***entation to me he said "I'll see you in court." and ***g up.

They hounded me with calls today, claiming that federal charges were being brought up a***nst me for failing to repay a loan. The accusations are totally false, and even when contacting the company they said filed the claim, the company acknowledged they are not capable of suing anyone for failure to pay, plus my account is in good standing with them. When asking for more information, they ***g up on me and continued to forward my calls to VM when I called back.I've received calls from the same person before. In the past, the number was 209-924-3417, which is now disconnected. It's the same people... initially I panicked, but once I realized it was the same people from different numbers, I began questioning them.

Recieved a call at my work telling me they are with a law firm but I believe they are a scam..gotten a few like this before.
