Leave a CommentThey claimed to be USAA. They knew my name and contacted about a declined debit card charge. I called USAA myself and there was no such charge or any outgoing phone calls. This is a number to call USAA, but scammers are cloning so be careful.
Called stating there was suspicious transfers through Zelle which I use. Before they could get further I hung up and called USAA directly to confirm. It was in fact a scam/phishing call. Be careful out there yall.
This is USAA. We are working with a theft recovery and they are the insurance.... NOT SPAM
USAA cloned number verification scam
Scam call after my parents were tricked by the Microsoft scam. Said they were with USAA and my parents were expecting their call
Was a spam call. Claimed to be from USAA fraud department and there were fraudulent charges on my debit card however, I do not bank with them. They somehow had some of my information and asking for a member number even though I stated I do not have an account with them. The number seems legit but scammers somehow steal business phone numbers so it looks more legit. Please be careful.
NOT a spam call. This number belongs to USAA Insurance company. If you have an insurance claim, it is most likely an adjuster trying to contact you.
Called stating they were USAA bank but wasn't. Please beware of this. They have the same contact as USAA but isn't. USAA doesn't call for fraud, only emails. If you think you're being scammed call USAA. Hate this happened to us.
It was my newly ***igned insurance adjuster after my car accident
Said they were from fraud alert even had last four numbers of my card.
Fake usaa
They did first leave a voicemail and I called them back. The number says it is USAA but had to enter an extension to get to the person, not able to go directly to an operator. Very sketchy. When I told them I had no insurance on the vehicle they were inquiring about, they claimed they couldn't find any information they called about, "lost the file"?? Never heard back. Pretty sure they found an old insurance card.
SCAM said they were a claims adjuster from Colorado and that my vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident with a state trooper and needed to get the claim going!!
SCAM...Called wanted to know if I still had my Credit Card and If I could verify the numbers on the card.
Insurance
Said that he was a part of the fraud department for USAA. There were several charges from Austin Texas, some of the charges was a Samsung Galaxy phone of 700 and something dollars, Walmart charge of $44, and another charge. He insisted asking for my address so that he could mail a duplicate card. I was never in Austin Texas, nor did I visit Austin Texas.
Not spam... USAA Bank
Wanted my info to make sure it was me because my account was compromised.
Caller called and said they were USAA Fraud department and there were red flags alerted from out of state wire transfer attempts from my account. This was a scam and I was able to confirm by calling USAA fraud department directly.
Scammer claiming to be calling about a complaint filed regarding auto insurance with USAA. No such thing has been done, hence no reason for them to be calling. Phishing.
Claimed my account was compromised, someone had tried to send zelle. Tried to verify the IP address of the alleged hacker with me (an HP device, Ohio). Then tried to get me to send my account login credentials via text to verify my identity. I said no, and told him I would call the bank to deal with the issue. He pushed on me a lot before finally hanging up
This person said it was USAA fraud and then asked for account information. Beware!
Said that there was fraud activity on my account, pretended to verify some fraud charges. Then said they needed to do a reverse something or other and that I needed to log in through my mobile app. When I told him I was not doing that, they hung up.
This may actually be a USAA number, but it was not USAA who called, and I verified that with USAA's 1-800-531-8722 number...most likely someone ****fing USAA's number. Tried to tell me about possible fraud activity and wanted me to press a number on my phone.
I’m so TIRED OF CRIMINALS. Stolen identity and FRAUDS, here in America. The wrath of God upon EACH OF YOU, frauds. Usaa and xfinity sponsor organized crime - sadly.

Claiming to be USAA
That he was with USAA and needed to verify my account information. He got into my account and tried to withdraw hundreds of thousands of dollars from my account, but I had already closed it.
They said they were USAA calling about 2 fraudulent charges on one of my cards and started asking for my account information which they will never do, then gave me the phone number to prove they were USAA and I did a look up and it said spam and I told them that and they hung up
SCAM!!! Said I had fraudulent charges and wanted to send me a new debit card. Asked for my member number and I said no that I would call them back to confirm who they were. Called USAA 1-800-531-8722 and they said it was scam, they wouldn't ask for member number nor did i have any fraudulent charges on my account.
This is a legit number for USAA, but I'm unsure if it was hijacked since I don't have an account with them. Recording saying fraudulent activity detected on my account. Press 1 if I did not make bitcoin purchase. Transferred to call center. I stated that they called me, but I do not have a USAA account and they immediately disconnected the call.

My call was a claims adjuster for my accident report last night. USAA is "United Services Automobile Association", a group for insurance, investment, banking and financial matters that serve military families. They do not do any telemarketing. If they call you, you are either doing business with them in some way, or you were involved in an accident with one of their members, or a hacker using their number falsely in caller ID spoofing. I have been a member of USAA for more than 40 years, and they have called me less than half-a-dozen times, and always about important matters (such as someone using my credit card number overseas, etc.)
