Leave a CommentI don't know how my number got to these people but I been getting calls like this one. Some "lawyer" wanting to see if I was hurt in a recent accident that they don't know the detail and how I can get "benefits". Sigh.
Same deal, either a lawyer or someone looking to file false claims a***nst insurance companies. This person had no knowledge of my accident which was just driver side mirror contact and was suggesting I can go and get a free medical exam. They are looking for ways to file false medical claims which in turn raise all of our rates.
I just got this call as well. It seemed quite awkward to me. He sounded like an older gentlemen and he said that he was from Southwest Medical or so****ing like that and he would not tell me who's insurance told him about me or gave him my number. I told him I had my own medical insurance taking care of me until I found out the other person's car insurance from the police report and he said ok that was all he needed and ended the call. Like you, it sounded shady to me.
Got the same kind of call. The caller identified himself as Robert Martin, but caller ID showed Elida Rosa***. He said he was with Southwest Medical so****ing-or-other, and offered to set up an appointment for my husband to see a doctor. He says all of our bills can be paid by filing a medical claim a***nst the other person's insurance. It sounds reeeeeallly shady to me. Not gonna go for it.
Got a call from an "ambulance chasing" company saying they could provide medical care for my accident. It was a "gentleman", who didn't speak very well, calling on a T-Mobile cell phone from San Antonio.I asked how he got my number and he said either my insurance or the insured's company had "filed" it and they had access to the information. Sounds like a kick-back deal to me...
