Leave a CommentA direct call back to this number resulted in an individual who claimed to be, "Andrew Hall number 58712" who claimed to work with the Administration of Social Security from phone number 210 666 9924, 210 is a Los Angeles California prefix, comes back in search this site as out of San Antonio, TX with No further information at all. So****ing is very phishing fishy about this number and this middle eastern accented individual. The message left was a threat of legal action by the SS Admin. who does not make such phone calls.
This individual has a middle eastern accent who claims to be from the Department of Social Security. Is a male, Asks you for your name, (Do not render it) Tells you what your zip code is (do not trust that they have this information, anyone can get this information by your phone number area code. Then asks you what your date of birth is (do not tell them) and your Social Security Number is do not tell them, they know what that information is. Never release this information to anyone you cannot confirm in advance of releasing it. First of all, the Department of Social Security ALWAYS contacts you in writing and NOT by phone. W***ver these people are they are trying to get this vitally important information from you for illegal reasons. REPORT THIS DATE, TIME AND DETAILS to the Department of Social Security in writing, please. They need to know about this. This is likely a scam of iden***y thieves. Rule of thumb, when in doubt an this is very doubtful, check it out. Never release your social security number by phone unless YOU, yourself have called the Social Security Administration and you know you have contacted them and are on the line with them and they ask you for it from there. Otherwise, no. The pranksters are getting more and more savy all the time. Please be careful out there.
