I keep getting repeat calls from this number, and stopped answering it when the individual calling, supposedly from the yellowpages, had an accent so thick as to be incomprehensible. I've continued to receive calls daily, and decided to answer today to tell them to stop calling.I got a male, a***n, with a strong accent, who would not take no for an answer. Very pushy about my need for more customers, when he clearly did not even know the business I was in. When I indicated my lack of interest, and said good-bye, he kept talking.Having read the posts here, I tried calling back, and got the Verizon Wireless message that the number was out of service. I really think it's Verizon's problem, but can't imagine them doing anything about it...

Got two calls three days ago. Today I'm getting a call every 20 minutes, haven't answered a single one. It shows up as "unavailable" on the caller ID and if you block anonymous calls it shows up as "212-266-5396 New York NY" Obviously a scam of some when they s**** a phone number for the caller ID.

Beginning at 4:10am, PST s****ed receiving calls from this number.  As of 3pm, have now received 23 calls.  Always the same thing when I answer.  Silence and no response from the other end and then they **** up.  I'm getting really TIRED of this ****!

Got a call from this number.  Sounded like a lot of people talking in the background, then the lady just s****ed laughing hysterically and ***g up.  Some people are so rude!

The last owner of my cell number had a mini-blind business and even though I have had the phone for 2 years, I still get calls for her. You would think if this is a sales call from Verizon, they would know it is no longer a business phone. haha! I tried to call back and got a message saying the number was a no longer working number. Hmmmmmm

Left no message and I did not call back...just checked here and glad I did.

Verizon Yellow Pages trying to sell internet search service or so****ing like that, it sounds like a big scam.They s**** off by verifying your details and then you get passed on to a supervisor to confirm your details, but they pull a selling act on you claiming that they can bring in business for you based on internet searches for your company or products. They are rude and speak English poorly. I take great pleasure in annoying them with BS when I am not busy.

Have gotten repeated calls from this number.  Always "disconnected" when I call back and try to get removed from their call list.

Claimed to be Verizon Yellow Pages.  They are going to save me lots of money by charging me for all sorts of advertising that I do not need.  And, I don't advertise in the yellow pages....but they claim I do.Unpleasant and rude!  As other posters noted, the number is disconnected upon call back.

Today I had the same experience as reported by Martin above on 6 Feb 2009.  A woman was asking for the person in charge of accounting or making decisions.  Tried calling the number back after seeing this 800notes.com post, and sure enough, I got the "Your call cannot be completed as dialed..." recording.

same thing background noise until I ***g up---no one spoke but heard voices in the background!

I received two calls in a row. I could hear background noise but no one spoke.

Caller claimed to be from Verizon Yellow Pages and said we have two entries that they needed to verify the information for. He wanted to speak to owner of company. I told them that I was responsible for the phones and the owner would not speak to them and the caller ***g up.Upon calling this number back it is disconnected.
