Leave a CommentSir, please be reminded that people would want to have anything to do with arrogant people, no matter what you say. And being rude is definitely not a way to encourage people to listen to you.Thank you.
Rec'd call from Jay Friedman. Re stocks. Don't know why anyone would buy a stock from people such as these jokers. Evidently somebody does as we been getting calls like these for too man years.
Got a call from Tom Shandley of Allen Partners in New York. My firm is in London. Lucky for me I can recognise a cold caller from a mile. However, I thought I would let you know that "Tom Shandley", who left a message on my phone about 15 mins ago, is also calling from +1 212 931 9470. He must have encountered some pretty gullable people where he grew up to think that one arrogant cold call would warrant a response. Thanks to this Board I now know to make colleagues in my company aware of the situation.
You people are idiots. All firms make the same exact phone calls to the same exact businesses looking for business. It's how the industry HAS been run for DECADES. Even Goldman Sachs does the "cold calling" routine for new hired trainees. How do you Goldmans business grew to the level they are at? By having a name everyone knows? NO, the name became what it is from HOW they conducted their business. Which is over the phone 90% of the time. There are strict rules that have to be followed in the securities industry which is free public information that can be found online. Just because you received a call from a U.S. broker does not make them a scam. Do you dilligence and run a background check on a broker before engaging in a conversation about investments. All I see on these sites is complaining and whining about scams and high pressure sales blah blah blah. If you TRULY understood the real business world, you would know that you do whatever it takes to make a living. Some do it honestly some do not. Thats BUSINESS. Find out about your broker through the FINRA or the SEC as all U.S. reps are REGISTERED federally. Why not ask a few questions before jumping on a website and****uming you know everything. It's great to hop on these sites and complain when you get a call and don't understand it I suppose, it makes your day feel better I'm sure. Next time you get a call from a broker, ask them some questions and you may be surprised by what you come to.
Just got as call from 212 812 8900.I am in Melbourne Australia. My cousin in New York called it back straight away. Someone called Daniel Dis*****a, a VP supposedly working at 8.00 pm at night saying that he is representing Royal Bank of Ca***a and is coming to Australia and wants to meet me.
Had a call from "Tom Shandly" at this number, and was pretty much screamed at.Straight out of Glen Gary Glen RossIf it is such a great surefire investment, why call me? sink your own cash into it.
Called and left no message on recorder.
I called them to remove me of their call list and was treated very rudelly.
Cold caller regarding stock tips. Do not take their calls.
same thing happened to me.... they called me today... wat ended up happening did they email you?
Worst Brooklyn accented pitch i ever heard... told him I'm series 7 licensed, which I am, and that shut him up. My initial thought was Boiler Room bucket shop. Don't waste your time.
New scam idea they have.I was sear****g online job database for an non-paid intern position. So I found a very nice job posting about a position. I applied for it. Two days later i got a call inviting me to a interview, but i kinda felt so****ing was wrong about the caller so I said I may not make it. They are suppose to send me a e-mail with comfirmation and adress if i can make it. I googled the phone number and it was this number.
It happend to me last week. He wanted to talk to my boss - re "business". As usual those kind of callers never tells you their numbers, I was surprised, that he left me his number. So I thought he may be one of those who really matters to my boss. Thanks to you, I was able to identify him...Have a nice day. Monica
HK is up 20% since Oct. 30thThat Schemell guy must be a genius!
212-812-8900 called me as well. Thomas Schemell with Allen Partners to call him back at 212-812-8896. He was pushing highly undervalued stocks on extremely good fundamentals. I challenged him because I'm a technical trader and he told me to watch CSIQ and HK - Energy/Solar stocks and to call back in a month. I will wait and see.
These guys are s***bags. I was on the DNC and they still called me numerous times claiming that they "would update their list so i would no longer get called". i would highly recommend reporting them to finra so they get fined. also, you should know that in some states YOU get the money when you report companies like Allen Partners. in other words, this do***ebag company gets fined $10k and you get the money. Pretty good deal right?! here's how to report these guys. call FINRA and alert them that you are being harassed by Allen Partners. Tell them you have their CRD#Main FINRA Phone Number: (301) 590-6500)Allen PartnersFirm CRD# 36518
Kurt Thorn - Allen Partners, needed to speak with me. "Private Equity shop". Old fashioned pump and dump penny stock shop.
Called by Russ Williams whose pitch is right out of the movie Boiler Room. First claimed Allen Partners is a private equity firm and then proceeds to push "hot stocks." Had I had more time I would have waited for the hot IPO pitch, but what is the point dealing with such people.Interestingly, when I asked Williams if he was a licensed broker he said yes. Then I asked Series 7 or what license. This apparently got him off guard and he said he could tranfer me to a "Senior Broker."DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH PEOPLE!
Got a call from Matt Jenkins preasuring me to open an account. Not a company that I want to do business with.
Boiler room operation (penny stocks)
