They say they're from Washington Mutual (which was bought by Chase over a year ago) and they're calling about your credit card which they've had to lock, and that you need to press 1 to talk to the security department to get it unlocked.

same thing.  so****ing about wamu and a frozen account IT IS A SCAM

I just recieved a call from this number. The computer told me that they were going to freeze my WAMU account and if I didn't want them to do this please press... I do not have a WAMU account. I called the number back. They call themselves Blacksect or Blacksent Technology. No one answers any of the extensions and they tell you to leave a message. All message mailboxes are full.

got a call saying card was locked i immediatly called chase and they said scam

I jut got a call from this number, the message is from says that WaMu and that my account has been lock. I have never had an account with them. I **** up.

Just got the call on my cell.  Didn't answer it, but if it is from "WaMu," I don't have an account there so it is definitely a scam. A few hours earlier I received a call from another phone call from a different #, which people say is someone claiming your credit card has been locked.  Didn't answer that one either.  What is going on today?!

Just got the same call from "WaMu," to a number I never had****ociated with any account I had with them.  A garbled computer voice directing you to enter information to unlock a credit card.

I ***g up at that point. I bet that if you do talk to someone, they'll insist they'll need your credit card number for security purposes.

Got a call from this unknow number and ignored it.  Looks like others are receiving this strange call too.

Got a call from this number earlier today - I didn't answer and they left no voicemail. Haven't called back.

Did not answer, they left a 2 second and silent voicemail.

Same thing happened to me 2 minutes ago.

Called saying an account was suspended and I needed to press 1 to be connected to the security department to fix the problem.  I ended the call at that point.

Got a call on my cell phone at 2 AM a few days ago.  Ignored the call.
