He called my son. Said he was from IRS Tax Evasion and that he owed $4987 in back taxes and tried to get him to pay money over the phone. Thank goodness he came to me! The guy told me the Sheriff would be at my house within the hour also. I said Ok Sir! Do NOT fall for this! Fill out a complaint form at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
I just got a voicemail from them saying they were filing a lawsuit a***nst me. It was an automated system, a woman's voice. Being new to this kind of stuff What should I do?

He's acting as an IRS agent say that you owe the IRS money and if you do not pay you will face 2-3 yrs of prison. Had and indian accent BE AWARE.
These people called me and claimed they were IRS but the guy barely spoke English and being H R block do my taxes each year I wasn't a bit concerned! Thanks to been varified I was able to make sure that this was a scam! Think about it...if IRS was suing they wouldn't do it over the phone!
Simply dreadful. Do not listen to any of the nonsense they spout..
These people should be arrested!!!!! They just got me ALL WORKED up and concerned that I was being arrested. I can't believe I fell for it. How can they get away with pretending to be the IRS?????
Beware! This person claimed to work for the IRS, gave a badge # and case # and new my name. They said I owed over 2,000 because of criminal tax fraud and gave specific years and said my accounts will be frozen etc. When I asked if this was a prank they said if I don't believe them I can **** up and the sheriff would be showing up within the hour. Very sad for people who might fall for this. I tried to report it to the IRS but when I called the phone scam reporting number on their website it said all circuits were busy. Go figure
they said they were going to sue me but they are from a different state as me claiming they are irs
They claim that they are the IRS and they are going to " Sue me". I have had several messages left on my answering ma****e. They leave their phone number and repeat it. I looked up the phone number for my IRS ***nch and obviously the area code doesn't match.. Just wondering if this is happening to other people..? And the voice is computer generated..
