I get the same thing,for a couple months now..

Payday loan scam! The number is probably a "sleeper number" out of Los Angeles, and they are most likely based in the Middle East or India. It is always an Indian, Persian or Arab that calls with a thick accent claiming to be "James Smith" or "Robert White." *****!!!! They get your financial info by hacking the intermediate payday loan sites or some other way and call two weeks later saying they are going to have the police come get you (which that sort of action of threat is actually illegal in the state of Texas under the credit and payday loan laws) and threaten to throw you and the management of your workplace in prison for bank fraud. They ask you if you want to hear the charges and then proceed to act like they re the freakin D.A. or so****ing and read off a list of "Counts"...Count 1...Blah blah blah...Count 2...Blah blah blah...and so on. (A***n, illegal!) Then they demand you pay the entire debt off TODAY which that demand is also illegal (usually some abstract number like $543.67) by WESTERN UNION or money order.
