This man said he was from ***zil (had an accent), 60 years old, a petroleum engineer, widowed with one 15 year old son, William. he said he worked on an oil rig for 3 months, then home to Chicago for 2 months. After 7 weeks of texts then some calls, he asked me for $64,000 to help cover an on the job accident that he was required to pay for, as he was an independent contractor. I did not send him any money. This was a sophisticated romance scam that I believed to be true until the request for money. When he asked me for the money he was hysterically crying, saying I was the only person that could help him, because he had no one else, etc etc etc.
