I knew it wasn’t real since day one and s****ed playing the game. I asked him to have a Video call and he said no. I asked for a video saying my name and he said he couldn’t. I blocked him.

He posed as a guy on a dating website, tried to send me a check and asked me to send a relative money.

This person impersonated my pastor, using both my first name and my pastor's name. He said he needed a favor an asked me to reply to him asap. I didn't reply but another church member who received the same message did and said the texter was asking for money.

I got a text message. He claimed to be at a hospital ER trying to get an eBay gift card for some women battling cancer and asked if I could help. The scary coincidence is that the name he used is the name of an actual pastor at a church nearby and I was with a family who was from that church when the text came through.
