Got calls at place of business day after day for over & week & no msg left. Decided to pick up yes****ay & they asked for a friend of mine & when I said "Who are you looking for? No one here by that name" they ***g up. How could they be looking for my friend at my work? Is it a coincidence? Where do they get the info? Anyone know? We both are baffled!

I received a call from this number today myself but no message. They called me at my place of business but now that I know this number i'm not going to be picking it up at all. Thanks for the comments and heads up.
Somebody called but left no message.
Called multiple times to my office direct number but never left a message. Today (09/01/2009) I decided to pick up the phone. It was some by the name of Nancy Gonza*** (sp?) trying to send me a hardcopy of CIO Magazine. I declined a couple of times and she promptly went away. Let's see if I get another call from them.
Received a phone call from this number asking for the owner of the business. I told her that he was not in and offered voice mail. She refused and asked for an****istant. Told her he didn't have one. I asked for the purpose of the call and was told she'd call back. If this is a s****ed number we the public, who are in a business environment should be able to block this number.
Received several calls from this number, but they never left a voicemail. We have a Skypephone and the number is not listed anywhere (I love Skype), but we still were called repeatedly. I do not answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, and a reverse directory search brought up nothing. A Google search, however, brought up lots of similar complaints about this number. I just blocked the number on Skype, so they won't be calling from that number anymore. By the way, it IS true that 976 numbers used to be used for *** lines in California. I do not know if that is the case anymore... but I wouldn't call it, just in case. They used to bill $3-$5 per minute on those things!Note: My apologies... I mistyped the number as a 219 area code the first time. Sorry.

Just got the call myself today at my work number. I didn't answer since I figured it was a solitication. No message was left.
no message left - will definitely not answer based on the good comments left. thank you.
This number keeps ringing our phone several times every week, sometimes more than once a day. If our answering ma****e picks up, they **** up. How can we get this person to stop calling? We are on the do not call list but this one has managed to slip through anyway.
I GET A CALL EVERDAY AT 9:30 .... I NEVER ANSWER!! ...AND I'M ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY!!
Second call received April 7, 2009
Everyday @ 14:00 hours +- they call, leave no message, no answer. I really hate having to go after these *****s myself, but I do, and when I meet up with them, they are made an offer they can't refuse.
'976' numbers in the LA area used to *** and chat lines for lots $$$ per minute. If they still exist watch your phone bills!
S****ed Numbers: Caution, 213-976-5000 is a "s****ed" number, which means that w***ver called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number.213-976-5000 is a S****ed Number by Jay Sherbondy who most recently is orchestrating his scams under the guise of "Global Reach International, Ltd.," which he often describes as a huge global company with thousands of employees. Interestingly, this supposedly global organization with "thousands of employees" and a "legal department" operates out of a small house in Las Vegas, NV 89147-7899.In reality, Global Reach was set up in 2004 and amounts to little more than Jay Sherbondy, his****ociate/girlfriend/partner-in-crime Margaret "Peggy" Smith (the "President and CEO" of Global Reach, who also happens to own and reside in the house in Las Vegas), and whichever website designer he is scamming at the time. The company was set up with everything in Peggy Smith's name. The Las Vegas address is also Jay Sherbondy's current residence, and is located less than 1 mile from his preferred Starbuck's meeting place on Flamingo and Durango.Peggy Smith lived with her husband in the house on Rochelle until he died a couple of years ago. Jay Sherbondy met Peggy when she was distraught and in therapy over the loss of her husband and quickly set up camp.In summary, Jay Sherbondy and Margaret "Peggy" Smith operate "Global Reach International, Ltd." out of a small house in Las Ve*****arry Jay Sherbondy, Jr. does nothing in his own name and just bullys others into leveraging whatever resources they may have into his service or wherever he thinks he can make the fastest buck. He gets very emotionally and verbally abusive whenever people don't spend their money/credit to parti****te in what he wants. Coerced parti****tion has included: gifting programs, couponing, montisizing, mortgage elimination, AdPac (legit - a very nice man operates this in Las Vegas), private investigation, REIT's (Real Estate Investment Trusts), setup of corporation soles (with bank accounts) - template was stolen. He tries to get others to use their merchant accounts for whatever it is he wants to sell, or has used "authorize.net" in the past. He takes other people's networks, address books, etc., and works them.Global Reach's fic***ious Florida-based "legal department" is, in reality, in the case of a recent contract, a web-based legal service called LegalMatch.com (based in San Francisco). A recent Global Reach contract in our possession is based on a template from LegalMatch.com, and was aut****d by Dmitry Shubov. The point is Global Reach has no "legal department." Jay Sherbondy also buys travel certificates out of Florida.Jay Sherbondy and Margaret "Peggy" Smith also operate websites such as "www.blastpak.com", "www.cyberpakoptin.com" and "http://theolegions.spreadtheword.com", and are involved in dozens of so-called internet affiliate marketing programs (the internet version of multi-level marketing) such as "www.immunotec.com/globalreach/page.asp", and "www.goldrushusa.com".Other s****ed numbers used by Global Reach International:213-452-6539213-533-8042213-710-8196213-288-8111213-426-2705
