Every day, at least 2X a day someone from this number calls, no messages. Glad I checked this site before I answered.
Called saying they were with CA (Computer****ociates) and asked about my ***le and address. They called on my cell number which is not listed and they knew my name, job ***le, and business address. They said thank you for taking my call and ***g up.
This company is relentless, somebody please tell them to stop!
received a e-mail using microsoft name saying i will get money if i send $200 to west africa...scam????
We received these calls several times a weeks. The same sounding person says they are from Microsoft and would like to speak to the IT manager. Another one of their callers asked for the names of our sales reps… for “Microsoft’s promotional event” that they would like to invite them to. I told the person that they call too many times and for them to stop! We’ll see the next time they call though… It is soo annoying.
sounds like this number belongs to a multi use call center today for me it was freightquote.com telling me they messed up my shipment
this was a legitimate call from freightquote.com
this is so jacked UP!!! This guy calls up, doesn't identify himself, and ask for some person who does not exist at my company. Then, when I tell him that person doesn't work here, he says he wants the name of the IT decision maker for my company.I tell him that person's not here today, and I did not feel free to give out that information (what's wrong with people no***ays?)There was a moment of silence, as I googled the calling phone number, and I ***p into this web site.I ask him who he is, and he says he's calling from HP, blah, blah, blah. Based on earlier comments, I'm like NO WAY!!! I tell him that I did not want to reveal any information to him at this time, and he could have a nice day!We had our goodbyes, and he is gone now.TELEMARKETERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
my call seemed legit from Symantec about an expired licensing agreement that I am aware of. Odd that all of these calls are lumped under the sam phone number
They called twice while I was on another call without leaving a message. The third time I left the existing call and answered it, believing it was important. The caller said he was from HP and needed answers to a few questions. I asked why he called 3 times in a row and could not leave a message. He said he didn't have the authority. I told him I was unhappy with their procedure and asked if it was a sales call. He said no and continued to ask me if I was the IT decision maker in the company. I told him goodbye and ***g up.It seemed pretty obvious to me this was not HP.

Called once last week. From Microsoft getting statistics on our software usage. I told them I wasn't interested and ***g up. Now, called twice this morning. I was on the phone both times and didn't answer. Voice message left was actually dead air.
The line belongs to a Company called Rainmaker, you can view their info @ www.rmkr.com They gather information for several large companies.
got a call today from 214 269-4231...my number is not a company phone it is a private residential phone. Called the phone number suggested by previous poster and got Microsoft cust.service. was informed that they do not randomly call people or companys to update anything and to report this number or any others claiming to be from Microsoft to http://[email protected]
This is a call center that is used by Frieghtquote.com. FYI
I got one wanting to be transfered to who handles copiers for our company.
Called saying they were working for Microsoft and gave one thename of one of our client asking if they were a current employee of the company. There is no way they would've ever been listed as an employee with Microsoft so I asked a few questions and finally ***g up. Calls immediately came in to the next department over (we aren't that big, he sits at the next desk). Having heard my conversaion, he immediately ***g up on them. They were caling out main number and hitting each department on our Auto Attendant.
I'm in east coast (USA), I got a blank call early morning (4:00am) and blank voice mail was left. May be they might have got my name by recording. Then I received a call arround 10:30am from the same number telling me they were from some company wanting to verify if certain people were still affiliated with our company. I refused to give any information and asked them to call to front desk to findout the information they needed. They asked phone number.. I told them to go companies web-site to get that.
I received a call from this number telling me they were from Microsoft wanting to verify if certain people were still affiliated with our company. I asked how they got this information and they said Microsoft. When I asked to speak with her supervisor they ***g up. I called the number back and the call could not be completed.
Caller asked for mgr would not talk to anyone else identified himself as HP.
I keep getting calls from this number, but they won't talk.
They just called me and said they were Microsoft and just wanted to verify the spelling of my last name.
They try a few different Business names to ***n information, when you get a call, ask for a number to call them back, if they say Microsoft, ask them to verify your account number, when all is said and done, report them to the FCC, the FTC, and your local telephone company and form a formal complaint. The line is owned buy Grande Communications in Texas, but there is no record of who is using it.
Same as the rest, Called claiming they were Microsoft and verifing one of my employee's. This is an old scam, a quick way to put them on the defensive is to tell them you are busy and you will call them right back. 9 times out of tem this will end the call. Also call your phone provider and lodge a formal complaint. Won't do much good unless they get lots of them. This is a great s****. This is a good thing to have in the employee hand book about giving out information on the phone, bunch of hack's. Funny how they use the big names as intimidation. Trust no one, and always record the calls. This will be put on disc and saved for training.
I just got a call from this number and the girl said she was with Microsoft and wanted to update thier records. I didn't give her any info as she wanted info on a company I use to work for.
Someone called who spoke with a heavy (Indian?) accent and claimed they were from Microsoft and were updating their records. They asked about a specific individual who I never had heard of and I was reluctant to give them any information. I would not be the person to call for this purpose. The individual became slighly annoyed that I would not cooperate with his scheme. I have no idea who these folks are, but I would like to know.
Called 5 times and no answer. Attempted to call back but got a number is currently unavailable message
Claims to be from Microsoft and updating their records, had a list of old and current employees and was asking if they were still in charge of their depts.
Caller left a voicemail and he had a foreign accent as well. Caller was singing as though he did not know he was connected to my voicemal. Did not see the caller ID.
Just got a call. Said they were from Microsoft and updating records. Asked me if some name were still employees here. I did not answer them because I knew Microsoft would not have those names. Cannot imagine what they would do with that information, but did not answer anyway.
It was a call from CISCO to update customer information on file
CALLED BUT LEFT NO MESSAGE ON MY ANSWERING MA****E
Received call from a foreign lady claiming to be from Microsoft. She wanted our company information and I refused to give it to her. She was really pushy and finally ***g up.

Call and said to be from Computer****ocates ( software ), but Tele ID was blank. Caller was male and foreign. We **** him off.
called twice within 30 minutes. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. Same pattern yes****ay.
I didn't answer the phone, however they didn't leave a message on my ma****e
they have called several times in the past week, and twice today. this morning when i answered, a woman said she was calling from some company whose name i had never heard of, and then said that they were trying to send me an email, and they wanted to know if they could verify my address. i told her "no, you can't." and ***g up. they just tried to call a***n. the number traces to dallas, TX, but calling the number back yields a "number cannot be completed as dialed" message.
Once a***n a mystery call. They rang once then ***g up. It usually goes on for several days in a row. Just as well. They're probably asking for money for some political organization. I get a lot of these because my husband contributed small amounts a couple of times for his party and now we are innundated with mail and phone calls from dozens of them. I tried being put on no call list but apparently it doesn't apply to them and even though I have asked them to take us off their list they continue to hound us daily. Where are our State Representatives that they allow these scams to continue. Signed, No longer a contributor.
called at 5:55 left no message
I didn't answer.
