You can always tell a spammer-scammer as soon as you pick up the phone. They make you wait to connect while they realize "Hey! Someone must not have looked at their caller ID first!" That's the first tip-off--auto-dial ma****e. Then, for a second you can hear them as they're lifting the receiver to talk. I (unfortunately for them) heard my caller snickering. Second tip-off--unprofessional behavior. He went into his spiel about the "Awards Center" and I said that I wasn't interested. He replied (and I agree with Sam--sarcastically) "How can you turn down an award when you don't even know what it's for?" I said "Because I heard you snickering while you were picking up the phone." Didn't have a canned response for that. I ***g up. Maybe the Award Center needs to write a line in their script to address when an employee is caught snickering by the mark, errr....I mean****ential customer.

Called, said they are from the Awards Center. I told him I do not wish to talk with him. He was sarcastic; asked how I could know that if I don't know why he's calling. I ***g up. Number listed as Brooks Plumbing in 2011.
