This number is one of many that comes from correctional facilities. It may be an area code from any where. But its pretty much from Lock-ups or correctional places. I HATE THEM MY SELF they call at all times of day and night. They get prepaid phone cards , and they could be in California and the card is from Florida. Just ignore if you don't know the number

My brother in law calls me all the time from here. It's perfectly legit. He's in Denton County Jail and when he calls using a calling card, it comes up with this number and I press 1 to accept. It's totally free to me, I'm just acknowledging that I know he's calling from a correctional facility.

A 214 number would not be coming from Denton County Jail as all outgoing calls in Denton would be a 940 area code. 214 is a Dallas area code.

OK. JUST TALKED TO TECH SERVICES AT DENTON COUNTY JAIL. LET'S FLOOD THIS NUMBER SO THESE CALLS CAN BE STOPPED. THE NUMBER IS 940-349-1700, NO HARASSMENT PLEASE, BUT LET THESE PEOPLE KNOW THAT WE REFUSE TO BE SCAMMED NY THIER INMATES

I have received multiple calls. Internet research shows this may be a jailhouse jingle scam. It's probably best not to choose any options and **** up.

I got 2 calls this morning from this number.  Both were in Spanish.

Saw this as a missed call on cell phone. Tried to call. Number is blocked.

I received about 12 calls from this number from 3:00 to about 6:30.  It was a recording saying that it was a toll free call from a correctional facility.  "Please press one to accept or press 2 or **** up if you do not wish to accept this call."  The last call I decided to accept and told him that I didn't know him and to stop calling my phone.  I haven't received another call since but I can't wait to see my cell phone bill.  If this happens a***n I will try contacting the facility.

Its a call from an inmate accessible phone inside Denton Co. jail. Mystery solved. ILD Telecom Inc. is the phone system they use
