I received the call at 3:06pm today and the caller ID says Unknown Name.  Being a single person, it's very unsettling.  How do we stop this?

This should be stopped, I just got the call a few minutes ago, and knew better to check it out on the internet. I got a call similar to that a couple years back saying they are fundraising.  This should be illegal.

This number showed up on my caller ID, thankfully without Bucks County Police listed but they did not leave a message.  I see that they are soliciting money for Bucks County Police and there are no county police.  I agree that seeing Police in the ID can be scary and somehow, they should not be allowed to obtain a phone number under that name.

I received a call from this number today and did not answer.  It came up as "unknown name."  I'm betting that enough complaints have forced them to remove the caller id that said Bucks County P.D.  That's unacceptable and misleading.

Thanks to all posters.  My daughter was house sitting and got the call with no message and was very worried police were trying to reach the house to tell her about so****ing urgent (house is on alarm).  Called back and got no answer.  Glad I checked out number here and could put both our minds at ease.  Would love to see this stopped if it's not legitimate.

i got a call tonight from this number around 7....didn't answer but was concerned when I saw Bucks Co Police....tried calling back, no answer....glad to see that I'm not the only one and glad I didn't waste my time answering

This is a phone call, from a 'THIRD-PARTY' soliciting money! I'm not sure for WHOM? BUT....if they ID themselves as "police officers", ask for their: NAME + SHIELD NUMBER + and a phone number & extension, where you can CALL THEM BACK.............IF THEY REFUSE YOU, tell them that you'll be in contact with the "BUCKS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE" in Doylestown, and reporting this number and the conversation as a FRAUD CALL....THEN, **** UP!!!   Don't let some *****, who's trying to get YOU to donate money, give you any ****pola!

Someone's calling for the Bensalem Police****ociation soliciting in Bucks County there is no Bucks County police and they could care less if you don't want to hear from them. 03-25-10

Rec'd call from this number on 3/1710 while I was out. Thought I recognized number that it might be one of our  customers.  My message box was full so I tried dialing and got the same results--just ringing with no answer ma****e.  So I checked Google and read all the posts.  Thank you all for responding.  I had received a call or two in the past from Bucks Co. Police and was also worried that there was an accident with my kids driving  only to find out that it was a solicitation.  I was relieved but had been a little frantic initially until further calls revealed it was a charity.

The caller id'd himself from bucks county police****ociation.When I asked to be removed from calling list he acted like a 3yr old kid and went "nah nah nah nah nah"DO NOT DONATE TO THEM!!! IF YOU WANT TO GIVE TO THE POLICE DONATE DIRECTLY TO YOUR LOCAL DEPARTMENT!

got this on my caller id  on 10/07- said bucks county polce- was worried- no further calls. 215-343-1271. i feel better seeing these reports. thought one of my kids had a problem or so****ing.

received this call at my residence tonight.  called back numerous times.  no answer and ringing and ringing and ringing w/ no answering ma****e.  caller id also said "bucks county warrington p.d.

Also, saw this in the caller ID and called it back. At 1:30 in the afternoon there was nothing but ringing and no answering ma****e.  No info on yellowpages.com  seems like a scam. Wonder if the number should be reported but to whom?

Calls relentlessly on my office phone and kids phone lines at home, even though both numbers are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  This is indecent annoyance!

footnote to my last posting- I called the number BACK (215-343-1271) and of course is does nothing but ring without an answer- and no answering ma****e.

They called my house tonight- and I live in Bucks County. The caller identified himself as an officer from the Bucks County Police Officers'****ociation-which meant it was some sort of solicitation call- I've gotten them in the past from both Montgomery and Bucks County Police Chiefs'****ociation for charity ticket donations to a Circus that benefits children-BUT when I cross indexed the number on www.whitepages.com- it came up as a "non-published" land line serviced by Verizon. The exc****e 215-343 is WARRINGTON Pa. Which is indeed in Bucks County and not far from where I live.

Didnt leave a message and the caller id was bucks co police?????  I called the "REAL" police and was told no one had called my house....

4-5 calls a day for a week, left no message.  possibly identified as "Bucks County Police" not police someone calling for donations or "pledges"

called at 9:30 pm ***g up after I said*****o.  Phone just rang when I called it back.

No message, but this is not the number for Bucks County Sheriffs Dept., and isn't called the "police" dept.
