Leave a CommentI wish I could punch this phone number in the face. They have called multiple times every day, at around 9pm, for a week. Sometimes I ignore it. Sometimes I pick up, hoping they s**** telling me about viruses so that I can feign panic and waste some of their time. Unfortunately they have all been silent calls so far. Annoying as*****.
Called first time after 10pm on a weekend and today (7:30 pm Sunday)just called a***n. Both times ***ody said anything on the other end. So going to block number so no more irritating phone calls at all hours.
they have called me several times, and the one time I picked up they said that my computer had a "terrible virus," so I asked them which one. They couldn't tell me.
Tell them you don't own a computer.
All the comments below are accurate. I just received the call. FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/GettingS****ed?NextQID=35&Url=%23%26panel1-4#crnt
This "company" called a year or so ago. I shared my credit card info. They got access to my computer and cleaned it so it would run better. This company claims to be related to Microsoft Computers and makes people aware of problems with the hard drive of a home computer. In resear****g, it seems the callers are dishonest and trying to ***n personal information. They are VERY****ertive, pushy on the phone, insisting you need their help. Stop them! Who IS this?
I received a call telling me they were from windows support and needed me to press ctrl + windows key + r so they could help me remove the infected files.
Someone has been calling me for two days almost at the same time, I couldn't pick the phone.but no voicemail and returned the call, and it seems like the phone is disconnected, thank you all for the comments. I be aware.
They called me around 6:30 this evening. My parents received a phone call with the exact same cir***stances this past weekend. At&t told us it was very obviously a scam, so beware! The will want remote access to your computer and lottttsss of money. Be careful all!
Obvious phishing scam. Beware! Give no information. They called me, and I am a retried CISSP AND CISM(information****urance Professional). Accent sounded Indian.
My elderly parents received a call from this number today. The heavily-accented person (who they couldn't understand very well) convinced my mother to not only give him her credit card number, but also was able to ***n access to her computer, apparently with Team Viewer. My dad called me from another phone where I could hear parts of the conversation from their speaker phone. The "rep" tried to get another credit card number by telling them the first one was denied and not authorized for on-line purchases. Fortunately, I was able to stop them and get them to **** up on the so-called "rep" before it went any further. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION - THEY MAY NOT ONLY STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION BUT TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER!!!
Calls several times a day. Doesn't leave message. Number placed on block list.
Called and told me that they were calling me about my windows operating system connected to this phone number. Hah.
Exact scenario described by everyone else. Do not answer the call or give them access to your computer. It's a SCAM!!!!
Caller Id Pennsylvania
Exactly the same scenario described by LG, below.
Called me to tell me my computer was infected. Asked them how they knew this and she answered because of my locality. Asked me to go to a website so she could fix it. I told her off then ***g up.
Receiving multiple calls a day from this number. Once I picked up and got a voice on the other end saying so****ing about warranties. I didn't wait to hear the rest.
