To David: You CAN register cell phones on the "Do Not Call" registry! Mine is.
They violate the "Do not Call" registry as well as ***le 47 of the US Code for playing a recorded message without asking your permission.
If it is your Cell Phone than no it is not a Cell Phone violation. Cell Phones are not pretected by the National Do Not Call List. WHen you have a home phone you technically own that number. When you get a cell phone the carrier owns it and you are leasing the number from them. Even if you ad that cell phone number to the list it will be deleted since it carries an area code and 3 digit exc****e that is listed as a cell phone.
I repeatedly get calls from this number. When I answer I get a recorded message that says, "Hello. This is an important call from the WTA regarding.......". They call regarding different things. I have tried to go through number removal. I am on the do not call list. And yet they keep calling. Isn't this an FCC violation?
