This is the number for Consolidated Phone Services. They manage the pay phones for the Illinois Department of Corrections. I don't know what the user who made the "**** head" comment is talking about. I think they are a **** head. If you get a call from this number, someone in the IL DOC is trying to reach you. Answering the call will NOT bill you unless you dial 5 after answering to accept the call. Idiots.

I put this **** head in prison for running a lab with 5 kids in the next room, I don't want calls from them and beware they are notorious for allowing inmates to bill calls to YOUR phone number even when not calling you WITHOUT your consent. found 3 charges to my bill after asking the warden to prohibit them from calling or accessing my number!

I am sooo sad..I didn't know this was my friend in prison until reading this forum. I missed his call because I didn't know the number  and am at work so can't answer :(

they called collect and think this was a scam of some sort be aware

Ive been getting calls from this number.

I have received numerous calls for the last several weeks asking me to call consolidated public services and set up a pre-payed acount to accept charged calls. NO WAY. Please stop calling!

They said we could pay a bill using our credit card over the phone, if I would like too. I ***g up-we do not have an outstanding bill for this company.

Last night I s****ed getting this phone number on my phone I just ingnore it.

just press *3 when the recording comes on to block the calls. if they are able to call back then press 9 when the recording comes on to block. different prision systems have different phone systems that is whey there are 2 different ways of blocking the calls.

inmate call that wants me to set up collect calls, I do not want this call anymore on my phone

my friend from prison keeps callin and i never have a pen in site so does anyone no the 800 # given by when called by this number???

i do know who is calling  now..it is a family member that is incarcarated...so i finally got that cleared up...it is coming from a prison....this does cost...to talk...

at the moment i do have a family member that is incarcerated....for a short time.....i do not think it is him calling....sometimes inmates get numbers...and use this to their advantage.....so i just do not know...get calls...about.2 times a week.... a 1 217 347 9606...i did pick up the phone for a second....and it said it was a automated call...and i ***g up

Got call from this # they said this call may be monotered,Said this is a pay call, will you acc. the charges,I ***g up..???

my friend from jail calls me from this number so it must be from someone who's locked up or so****ing

NOW I AM GETTING ****ED. As I am writing these...my cell phone is ringing continuously. This is BS. I am not paying for these calls and I am going to find out who the f these *******s are.

I am getting 20-30 calls per day on my cell phone. It's using up my minutes. I am a mom and only use my phone for EMERGENCIES. I don't know this company.

8 calls in 15 mins from this call. When you call the number given in the message you wait forever to talk to a human. I finally just added them to my blocked calls list. They are connected to the IL prison system for collect calls from prisons

calls five times a day this is a childs phone have tried calling it to get them to stop but know one answers have called cell provider they can not do nothing about it.stop calling

haven't bothered to answer it, but I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone when I've never given out my cell phone number except to a few friends and family members.
