Received call on cell phone at 2:49 p.m. on June 18, 2010. Did not answer.

Same.  Received call at 8:12 PM on June 10, 2010.  Must be telemarketer!

Received this call on my cell phone.  Did not pick up and let it ring through.  I'm curious as to what thread is common to all who have been called on this list.  Since it is calling some on their cell and home numbers I****ume some vendor has sold or has been hacked with a list of the names and numbers.  I'd love to know who that vendor is!

Received a call from this numver on my cell phone.  It was June 18, 2010, at 8:17 pm.  I did not answer, but I am****uming it's a telemarketer.

I received a call on my cell. Was told that I win $3000.00  "Press 1 to accept........."I decided that is not a large amount,as usually they offer $100,000.00 and pressed cancel.7:21PM, June 18,2010

This number called on my wife's cell at 6:30pm (EST) and on my cell at 8:30pm (EST) yes****ay, though we all missed

Just got a call from this number on my BlackBerry.  From what I read. it looks like a telemarketer scam, even though I didn't answer the call.

the number is obviously s****ed and the message is fake as well, I just received a call saying 'because you are a valued Zeller's customer' -- well I don;t shop at Zellers nor do they have my number.  I was wanting to find out more about them but got cut off.  There's got to be a way to stop these crooks!I don't believe they are even a telemarketer... Would have loved to hear their entire spiel.

226 originates from southwestern Ontario, Ca***a.

This number shows up as a missed call and when I call the number it's "not in service", must be computer generated?

223 Area Code Calls --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Queries have been posted about the source of calls with area code 223. Don't necessarily****ume this is a US area code. International country code 223 is Mali. This is a neighbor of Niger, which is singularly well renowned for Mail fraud, Internet fraud, and telephone scams. Niger is country code 224, and Mali is 223. Unless you know someone ther, you could expect that any calls coming from either of these "Area" codes would be an attempt to rip you off.

Just got the same call on my cell. This seems very similar to a call last month from that vacation resort in Mexico from 514.******89 I am also on the NDNCL but from what I hear, it only works for calls that originated in Ca***a.

Yep, another scammer. I was going to press one and s**** insulting the guy and make him suffer the long distance bill.Worried that it they have the same as "press 1 to accept local charges" from the TelcoLet your secuity group in your workplace (if your phone is work related) know about the call

Just got the Ca***ian Tire call.. 3000 travel dollars.. i just ***g up.. also on the DNC list.. this was my cell they called.

I got a call from this number a few minutes ago too, and got the same message as ModernMan, above, though the automated voice spoke so quickly I didn't hear the "Ca***ian Tire" part. I just ***g up. This is annoying because I'm on the do not call list!

Man! I'm so glad you posted this. I got a call from this number but was out for a smoke and when I tried to call it back out of curiosity it said it was not in service. It was driving me insane, I hate missing calls!Good thing it was just ****ty telemarketers.

I work for Ca***ian Tire and I can****ure you this is not us calling. Ironically enough i got the same call

Message said because I was a valued Ca***ian Tire customer, I get 3000 travel dollars, press 1 to accept.I pressed 1 - it transferred me to some guy who obviously rattled through his intro s***ch, introducing himself first as part of some kind of vacation company.  He asked if I was 25 and when I played dumb / sluggish by responding " uh... I   uh..... I don't think I understand what's happening...." hoping I could chew up his time and **** him off, he ***g up.I now have a vision of the guys in this call center with a stack of computer-initiated calls waiting for them, and they want to blast through as many cold calls as possible, so unless you kick ahead with an enthusiastic "YES", they'll just give up on you.Waiting on the next call.  I should really string them along and then waffle on the last few digits of my credit card number.......
