These *****s have been calling me relentlessly for some time now.  It's the old magazine bit, but it's a complete crock of s**t.  I have given up telling them to take me off of their no-call list, and now I just ***** with them.  I give them all sorts of bogus info and would never dream of telling them anything truthful about myself.

They claimed to be "Active Periodicals". I contacted the real "Active Periodicals", with whom I had contact with nearly 2 years ago, but the lady said I had been placed on their do not call list and did not owe and money. I have not had any transactions with them. This "other" company was claiming I was still an active member but on a hiatus and they asked for my address (which without thinking gave them) but I did NOT give them any CC info. The number does not receive calls and the one time I actually talked to a person, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I talked to him for a moment and then was "disconnected"...they ***g up. This is ABSOLUTELY a PHISHING SCAM and I certainly hope nothing comes from the last call I had from them. I will certainly be wat****g my accounts closely.

Ahhhh, so that's who it is! Yes, if there is anything legal being done about it, I have additional information and would appreciate the opportunity to testify. If anyone has any information I can use to permanently have them stop calling, it would definitely be appreciated.

Number calls my cell phone every couple of days. I don't pick up. They don't leave a message. I'm very tired of "magazine companies" calling me.

This number called my house every single day and left no message, when I tried calling it back and recording said the mail box was full...Yes****ay I was home and able to answer, a girl name sharon said she was calling about my magazine's and that some people were not getting their's or were damaged...I do receive magazines, however when ask which magazine's they were referring about they were confused...to my suspision they were asking alot of personal information, My answer was, what does that have to do with receiving magazines..then Sharon's supervisior got on the phone and said they needed to verify my credit card, I said well if you are billing me and the bill is being paid then you would have that information already,,and the guy ***g up...I dont know what kind of scheme they are pulling but be ware!!!!

I had gotten several calls from 229-232-8471 with no message.  When I finally answered, they indicated that they were from my magazine company.  They said they had received complaints that people were not receiving their magazines and asked if I had any problems.  They never specified which magazine.  However, I don't subscribe to any.I told them that I did not know how they got my number and asked to be removed from the call list.  They said ok and ***g up immediately.  I guess I'll see if they actually stop.

These people are calling me at my parents telephone number.   They have caller ID and the # is 229-232-8471 like all of you.  I told my parents to say I'll call them back and get a number and name...but they ***g up.

1-229-232-8471 keeps calling and what to talk to my husband about his magazines if he is getting ontime they call at least 2x per day and I tell them each time he will be gone for 3 weeks

I never got a call from them, but i work for a company that gives magazine services and a customer of mine called me and told me this # 229-232-8471 called them saying they were the company i worked for and she owed them $$ she in fact settled her account off in 2006 with my company, so she called me to check.  i looked up the # thru 411.com and it comes up that is is a cell phone in valdosta Ga, beware of this # do no give any information, even if they say they have your cc# they dont really have it.  it is public knowledge now to get the last 4 digits of your cc only cuz it is printed on any receipt you get when you use your cc.  please also report this company to your state of federal agenices, ie. ftc, bbb attny general.ty for your time

Calls phone doesn't say anything, I tried to call the number right back but got a recording saying the office was closed.

Nothing was heard when I answered the phone. It was as though the phone call disconnected when I answered it. I dialed "*69" and got the number, called it back, and the recorded message stated "The office was closed...leave a message..."

They called and asked for my dead grandmother's credit card number.

THEY HAVE CALLED AND LEFT NO MESSAGE..AND MOM ANSWERED ONE TME AND THEY ASKED FOR ME BUT THAT WAS IT..DID NOT EXPLAIN WHY THEY WERE CALLING.SAYS VALDOSTA ,GA. ON THE CALLER ID.

This is a number that is harrassing my PARENTS! My numbers are unpublished. The number is 229-232-8471. The guy is named Shaun Anderson. He is acting like an old coworker who has moved out of state and wants to get a hold of me. But he can't leave a call back number because he's at work and their lines are one way call out numbers only. The background noise sounded exactly like the noise from a previous call from the previous week from 'Satin Reader'.

This is a new one today, got a call from this number out of Georgia, the rest have been coming from Florida, 239-275-0926; saying it's 'Reader's Source' or 'Your Magazine Company'.  After they ask if I'm receiving my magazine subscriptions okay they tell me they need to verify/update/check my account info.  When I ask why it needs to be verified, mention my cellphone's Do Not Call registry or ask them for a Name/Number so I can have my bank's fraud department contact them the call ends quite abruptly.  Mostly I've been ***g up on but maybe twice they've stayed on the line to try to backpedal.
