On 10-19-2010, Daniel Parker who said he was from the American Law Division contacted me on my work telephone number.  He began screaming at me regarding a debt that I owed.  I informed him that I was not allowed to receive personal phone calls at work and ***g up the phone.  He called back, began screaming at me a***n and I ***g up.  He called back and I tried to get information from him.  I asked him if he was an attorney and he said yes.  I asked him if he was eligble to practice law in Florida and he said yes.  I asked him for his Florida Bar No.  and he gave it to me.  He then asked for my home phone number and I gave it to him.  I looked up the Florida Bar Number that he gave me on the Florida Bar Website and it belongs to a deceased member of the Florida Bar.  About 5 minutes later he called back a***n screaming at me regarding an unpaid debt.  I asked him to please send me proof of the debt at my home address and he responded with "we have e-mailed you 16 times."  I told him I would not accept correspondence via the e-mail and a***n asked him to send it to me via U.S. Mail.  He s****ed screaming at me a***n.  I asked to speak to his supervisor.  At that point, John Watson got on the phone.  I tried to explain to him about Daniel Parker, the bogus Florida Bar No., etc. and all he did was scream and yell and threaten me with arrest at which point I ***g up.  He then called me right back, at which time I asked to speak with his supervisor.  A Scott Snyder got on the phone.  At this time I was angry.  I told him about Daniel Parker and John Watson.  I also told him that the company was parti****ting in in Practices that violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and I asked for the name of his company and mailing address.  He gave it to me.  Then on 10-20-2010 Daniel Parker called my work telephone number and my co-worker answered the phone.  My boss is now angry with me for receiving personal calls at work.  I have not yet been able to even understand who they say they are collecting a debt for.On 10-25-2010 Daniel Parker called my work telephone number and my boss, who is an attorney spoke with them.  I don't think they understand.  They keep harrassing me and my boss.

I've had all the same things happen as you've all described. I tried tonight being harassing to them to get as much information out of them as I could. They told me I had taking a loan out in the state of NC in 2009...payday loan at that...two problems with this. Payday loans are no longer allowed in the state of nc and I didn't even live in NC in 2009. Just moved back here in march 2010. They also told me there was an warrant for my arrest bc of this matter. Problems with that you can't have a warrant put out for your arrest here because of so****ing like that only small claims court allowed and then I was also pulled for s***ding last month and I didn't have a warrant for my arrest then. So yea these middle eat sobs can go straight down under and burn. Dishonest people ****

This company has phoned my office 10 times today, even had the nerve to tell Human Resources that they would sue my company!

I got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent, claiming her name was Angel Jones. Same kind of message--I've supposedly committed fraud. They also bothered a friend of mine and really upset her. The woman claimed she was calling from The Dispute Resolution Center--which is a legitimate alternative to court in Florida--but this is NOT them. My friend called her legislator and he called them back. I plan on calling the REAL Dispute Resolution Center tomorrow and letting them know that someone is using their name to try to commit fraud--the REAL phone number is 850-921-2910.

These guys call me almost every day at work, home or on my cell phone - using different numbers and names - alway an india type voice - they are scammers and I wish they would give up trying to get money from me - I won't give them a dime!!!!!!!!!  I know you all are phony so why call -idiots!

Starnet, Inc. is an internet, telephony services provider.  The calls are from the American Law Division, Dispute Resolution of the firm Christian, Nicholas &****ociates.  I spoke with a Daniel Parker, who told me he was an attorney.  He have me a bogus Florida Bar Member Number.  When I looked it up it belonged to a deceased member of the Florida Bar.  I then asked to speak with his supervisor and I got John Watson who would not stop yelling at me long enough to understand what I was trying to tell him.  I then asked to speak with his supervisor and got a Scott Snyder who I asked for and received the name, address and telephone number of the company he represented.  He gave me 3002 W. Kennedy Blvd, Suite 200, Tampa, FL  33607.  When I researched it, I could not find any****ociation between that address and Christian, Micholas &****ociates.  When I searched using the USPS web site.  The zip code is 3002 W. Kennedy Blvd., is actually 33609.  33607 is a Tampa zip code, but it is not the zip code for the address given.If they are a legitimate business they should be able to provide you proof of your debt.  Do not accept it over the e-mail, request it in writing, and request contact information for the original debt holder.  If it is a legitimate debt, they may not be a legitimate debt collector for the company.If these people contact you a***n, you need to report them.  ***ody should be yelling at you and threatening you.  That violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  I have made a report to the Florida Attorney General.  Do not trust these guys.

Caller with the American Law office threatens to contact my employer because of an unpaid payday loan. When I advised the caller that I didn't have a payday loan, he cursed me out and ***g up on me. Continues to call me multiple times per day, but leaves only one message with the same threat.

A man keeps calling and leaving harassing messages saying to call his  company back because they have a very serious legal matter a***nst me. In his message, he said his name was Abe Walker  from the Dispute Resolutions Center . If you or your attorney does not call me back, our attorneys will come to your work place to resolve this matter . I also did a White Pages  reverse look-up with the number and paid to find out exactly what company this number was calling from. I received information that this company is Starnet, Inc. from Marco Island in Florida.  There is Starnet Company out of Chicago Illinois who does Intenet Phone service. I will be contacting the BBB . Please make sure you also contact your local police department to make them aware of this SCAM!!!!!!!!

I found this number to be from San Marco, FL also.  They have continued to call today and I finally took my phone off the hook.  I filed a report with the FCC.  The foreign guy finally told me his name was Jack Smith....yeah right.

This is a scam. They are trying to get you to pay for "loans" that aren't real. They sometimes get your social from the internet, just deny that its you and call the police. I had an Abe Walker also call me and when I told him to lose my number, he called back and said I will be f***ed in the a**. No lie. Those were the exact words. DO NOT PAY them anything

I received a message from this number and he said his name was "Matt Johnson."  He had a VERY heavy accent and it was hard to make out exactly what he was saying (like the company name which I think they do on purpose) but basically he said I would be incarcerated over the holiday if I did not call his company back.  Reports of this type of harassment have been on shows like Dateline and 20/20 before.  They call and harass you to no end.  Some people take it with a grain of salt and other people are truly horrified by it (like some elderly people or people under a tremendous amount of financial stress).  Unfortunately, I myself did have to file for bankruptcy because I am going through a divorce.  This kind of harassment is what the bankrutpcy laws are supposed to help us out with. However, it seems that even filing for bankruptcy protection doesn't stop harassing phone calls such as this one.  I do not intend to call them back.

I just got a call from Scott Snyder today saying I defaulted on a Payday One Loan I never made. I was actually shocked to find someone else who had this same name used on them. I talked to him for quite a while, thick Indian accent, and his phone line was so garbled I couldn't understand half of what he was saying.

I received 6 calls back to back from this number asking me if I was Susan, they were very rude after  I told them they had the wrong number.  They just kept harrassing me.  I then redialed the number to ask for a supervisor and the same guy answered the phone and stated he was the supervisor and ***g up on me. I have never experienced anything like it before.

Called me on 10/11 stating he is representing Cash Advance America for a loan I did not make good on. He had my social security number and place of employment. I have never used Cash Advance in any matter. His name he stated is Scott Snyder.

this is the second time this year these people have called my husbands work trying to say he got aloan!!!  pure faurd!!

Received the same call Oct 9 on my answering ma****e and the person was hard to understand (foreign) so I also did a reverse number search which led me here. The correct thing to do is to report the call or just ignore them because if it was a true legal mater you would receive a mailing.

my mom got a call from this number last night, for someone else, the voice mail identified the caller as Abe Walker stating it was a legal matter for a Luke so and so... and that their social security # was in danger... that was about all we could understand of the foreign accent... she called the # back to state that they had the wrong number and it rang and said the voice mail box was full.... but the tone of the voice mail was very threatening

This # called me and said relative used my name as reference and if I didnt want my credit affected dont disregard this message and call back. when I did he did not respond just ***g up twice. then I called back using *67 and said nothing, they did not **** up and I heard alot of foriegn language being spoken, I ***g up and called back the # using *67 and not using it and it just ended my call both times without a connection.

got a similar message to my mom's cell phone last night, but from a guy identifying himself as Abe Walker, very threatening and very foreign.... but it wasnt even for her or anyone in our family... the call was for some guy named Luke... couldnt understand the last name, but was def not anything close to ours...she stated they called before and she told them they had the wrong number and the guy was like "are you sure"... if she continues to get anymore threating calls from them, we are taking it to the local authorities, have the voice mail saved from last night

I have got the call from this number. He told me that someone has used my name for the reference in loan. I need to pay $400 to settle this matter otherwise I will go behind the bar and lose my job. When I ask to give me do***ent then he denied it. This is the fraud.

This is bull.my name is clearly on my voice mail, but this person is asking for someone else.  I got 5 messages in one day, and frankly 2 of them sound identical -- either this is a script that someone is reading, or it is a recording.The name that has been left is different, but the concept and the number is the same.  Some scam  about someone leaving this number as a reference. In my case there is a threat in the message.  Glad this came up on a Google search so others can find it as easily as I did.

In her last message, the woman leaving a message said her name was Ruby Miller from the Dispute Resolutions Center (she never stated what company she was from) and her exact words were, "Dont disregard this message and return this call now. If you or your attorney does not call me back, all I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you." I dont think any legitimate company would leave a threatening message like that if they were in the least bit professional. I did a White Pages and Yellow Pages reverse look-up with the number and paid to find out exactly what company this number was calling from. I received information that this company is Starnet, Inc. from Marco Island in Florida. Yet, after hours of research, I can't find anything on that company at all. I will be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau.

MY BROTHER IN LAW GOT A CALL FROM THIS GUY SAID I PUT ME DOWN FOR A REFERENCE AND I WAS COMMITING FRUAD. HE ALSO SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE A FORGEGN GUY.

This number called my phone and said that a relative was using me as a reference and that this person was commiting fruad and they were trying to investigate. But when I called it kept saying mailbox is full. This was a forgeign man as well. I think he called himself Steven. But it coule be George. I'm not sure. He claimed to be from the Department of law.
