Leave a CommentCalled 5 times within 5 days. We have an unlisted & unpublished number, and our number is on the Do Not Call List Registry. Filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. Wasn't home to answer any of them - don't have an answering ma****e for this very reason. No calls since 4/18 so they must have given up. Based on google searches appears to be NME - National Magazine Exc****ehttp://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/185/RipOff0185600.htm
Called me about not extending after "my current contract" has expired. Next thing I know- they're asking for credit card information. I thought they meant that I wouldn't get any further magazines with them. Obviously not. Tried to expain that I have no means of payment (which I don't), but they insisted that I couldn't get out of the deal and I had appartently approved it. Even offered to lower the payments, which means they didn't catch my point that I was not interested. Made serval calls after I had ***g up on "his supervisor" trying to finish off the transaction. One of several magazines I've dealt with unforatunately. Just FYI- another company to avoid is "National Service Corportation" of ******ia Beach, Virg.
Called on 7 March 2008 to "renew" magazines that I'd already cancelled; tried to say there was an existing contract, etc. This time, represents himself as "Greater Source."
They called 3 times in about 5 minutes...didn't leave a message. When they called a***n after I had left, my husband answered and they rudely asked for me the first time, when my husband asked them what, they then asked to speak to me. When he told them i wasn't home, they ***g up. Called a***n the next day and the answering ma****e got some background noise, but no one said anything.
Shows up as Treasure Coast - It's one of those magazine subscription services. Its one of those organizations that calls and asks you to sign up for 10 different magazines that you don't want and don't explain anything clearly and then ask for your credit card? Apparently they made a lot of sales in the past and gave people a "financial grace period" and are now calling to say the grace period has ended and you need to s**** paying a***n. I find it interesting that their Caller ID (Treasure Coast) doesn't come up as the name of the organization they claim to be and that they never leave a message. Shady group.
Is **** there? No, could I take a message. Is he at work? That's none of your business, who are you? I'm Krystal. Fantastic. Who the***** are you? I just told you - is there a reason to be cussing at me? I'm going **** up now.Who are these people? We are on the no-call list for our state.
Just keep calling all day long, but leave no message. Has been happening the last couple of days.
