Leave a CommentThey called twice, both times I didn't pick up. On the voicemail they were claiming to be an inmate call from Lee or Lake County jail.
It’s a scam call to get your CC
The call was an automated call from a “Lee county jail inmate”. The recorded message stated a name but was mumbled. Then gave options to answer or decline
March 24, 2025 When an incoming call comes in, it seems as if an inmate is attempting to call out. However, when you call back, it is a scam claiming you have won a $100 gift card. Do not fall for it; block the number. It is not a legitimate call.
I did not answer the incoming call but when I called the # back it said I won a 100.00 Walmart gift card.
Collect call from Vivian at Lee county jail
About charging money to receive a call from someone in prison.
A ma****e saying the phone call is from a jail or correctional and is asking you if you will accept the charge for the phone call
This call is NOT a Spam or a Scam. This is a collect call from a correctional ins***ution. If answered, you then have the option to accept the call or reject the call. I also believe there is an option to stop receiving these calls from that person in the future, which of course you would do if you did not know the person they said was calling. Your number was probably dialed in error.
The caller left a voicemail, but when dialed, the recorded message suggested three options: accept the call, reject the call, block the call from that facility. Each option had a number to press. Do not know from where the call originated but it sounded similar to the calls being received from a local jail. I know no one in jail.
