I received a call from them. They acted like it was a police charity and said the call would be recorded for security...I ***g up after saying no thanks!

This phone number, 239-463-8759 belongs to a small carpet business in Fort Myers, Florida. It is not realistic that this carpet business is randomly calling people in and outside of the Fort Myers area. The BBB recently published information advising of a scam in which the telemarketers or scammers are using (s****ing) the numbers of regular people, specifically small businesses. This is likely what is happening in this case. In the past 6 months, there have been increased reports on all the websites of many people receiving random calls from florists, family businesses in tampa, elderly men and women, using the fax numbers of businesses, child day care centers, etc. When some of the posters have picked up the phone, the caller would claim to be a debt collector, sales rep for solar energy, rep wanting to schedule energy audit inside your home, fl state troopers, firefighters, etc. Interesting that NONE of the callers claimed to be a florist, family business, elderly man or woman, day care center, etc. The BBB warns that we should never trust what we see in our caller ID anymore. I feel so badly for the people whose numbers are being used (s****ed) for all these corrupt people.
