This is NOT originating from Intercept of Florida, Inc. The claim that the number is similar is not only wrong (accept for the first few digits), it's asinine. Two similar phone numbers can be the difference between a home residence and a business, that's common sense and common knowledge. Do not be fooled by the comment left by "CALL THEM BACK", we suspect that this is the VERY person/company that's perpetrating this false outbound call scam. The phone number is not apart of our organization nor belongs to any of our clientele. The phone number in fact is not in service upon calling it which means it's a ghost caller ID. Please contact your local telephone company and complain about this and they can run a trace back to whomever owns the 3522 number (whether it's in service or not) and deal with them from there.
The Do Not Call list does not work with this caller because it is a scam to get your credit information. Play along with them by pressing "1" and you will find that they ask for your credit card numbers, and even social security number. Talk to your state Attorney General's office to see if they can help. Eventually, these folks will be doing some time.
Promises to lower credit card interest rates. When I speak to a live person and ask to be removed from their call list, they immediately **** up. They've called many, many times.
i talked to a lady ,its like a refinance company to lower tour interest rate out of ,,,,NY CITY ,,,google says its a florida number.............how can this be a real company when you call back and its a disconnected number,,, i smell a scam how about you_____________
FYI - You can register for Do Not Call here: https://www.donotcall.gov/Also, I highly recommend you complain about them here as well and get the FTC on them for bad business practices: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
They call every week at least once. I usually **** up, but the past three times I have answered and pressed 1 to speak to an agent. I tell them that I am on a DONOTCALL list and they need to take my number off their list. They **** up on me mid-sentence and call back the next week. Or the next day.A little detective work and I found the main number to be that of Intercept of Florida, Inc. (239) 498-3200. Many companies have a single incoming number but make calls out on a number array - its pretty standard call center setup, although usually if they want you to find them they can mask that outgoing number for caller ID with their main number. These guys don't want to be found. I am going to go look for how to identify them to the govt for violating the law on do not call.
They call all the time. Either "your auto warranty is expiring" or "lower your credit card rate." Telling them to stop calling does nothing. As others of you have reported, I think it only encourages them. The number is definitely a s****ed number because when you dial it, you get a recording that says the number has been disconnected. So, how are some of you definitely equating it with a specific company? Also, has anyone taken the call through to a step where you get info about them? I'm gonna try that the next time they call. I have an expired Visa rebate card from Staples that I can use for the card number. For my name and telephone number, I plan on using that of one of my local state congressmen. I figure that maybe if his staff gets hassled, they will do so****ing about it. What do think about that?
Received a call from this number this afternoon. First I received a recorded message that I was eligible to get an interest rate reduction on my credit card. If I was interested to press 1. So I pressed 1. When the woman came on the phone I asked what credit card it was about she said Visa, Master Card, Disovere, American Express. That's when I just told her I'm not interested the ***g up. Later my husband tried to call the number back which was on my called ID and we get a phone company message that the number has been disconnected.
