They pretended they were from my cell phone carrier. Said my phone was past due and wanted to verify and collect payment from me. They ***g up when I wouldn't give them codes.
I received an obscene phone call from this number. Male voice called 4 times.
He wouldn't identify himself but wanted me to write a check for #350 to Glenroy Clarke (someone who "worked for him". It was poor phone connection. He was very persistent and called 5 times until I told him his number had been identified as a scammer.
Indian or ****stani sounding man who said he was from the computer company I contacted last year to upgrade my system. He claimed that they had lost their "license" and the only way to get it back was to refund the credit card payment made for the computer upgrade. Said I couldn't talk right then. ****ume the next question from him would be to get my credit card information to process the bogus "refund" and actually charge my card illegally.
I got a call from this number asking me if I had played the Mega Million or I knew what the Mega Million lottery was; told him yes I know what it is and I have played before; He sd his name was Mr. Washington and that I had won $850 million and all I needed to do was take down this 866 number and give them my confirmation code then call him back and he would tell me what to do from there.....Im not ******....I can see/hear a scam......1st I didnt give my name or number when I purchased lottery tickets and they dont call you when you have won it either.....you have to provide your lotto ticket, etc.....
I got a call from a guy who sounded Indian or ****stani about two weeks ago, claiming he was an IRS agent, and I owed money. Got another call today, it sounded like the same guy; this time, claiming to be with the company that provides my internet security.

"Met" him on OK Cupid dating site. Said he was Jamaican 5 years divorced, looking for true love. Said he was an engineer working on a 6 week project in the UK. Suddenly had an urgent need for $2,600.00 and asked me for it. When I said "no" and mentioned this was a scamming tactic, he disappeared immediately. The day before he had proclaimed undying love and was proposing marriage even though we had never met.
