I got hit with a $4.82 charge today. Have to cancel debit card tomorrow.

I got hit for the $4.82 as well. Cancelled my card and have paperwork coming in the mail to fill out to dispute the charge. Ugh, what a pain. It is nice to know that I'm not alone, but not so nice that this is happening to so many others!

Yeap I got it today had to go to the bank and cancel my card too! This is such a pain in the a**! I'm VERY OCD about my checking acctso this **** now I will be ckecking more to make sure that has ended! Good luck everyone need to pass the word on My ****e facebook every where!

They got me to $4.82 on august 30th! I go online at least once a week to check my online banking and caught it today and called my bank immediately  and canceled my card, bank didn't say anything about refunding me the money thank god it was not to much.. I feel so violated i never thought this could happen to me. I use my card EVERYWHERE i never carry cash. Now i don't no if i should use my card at all. I feel like i can't trust anyone now.

On 8/6 got a charge to my check card $4.82 made by Screen Savers Rise.  Called their phone no., got only voice mail.  Called bank and filed electronic credit claim.  Issue resolved.  Cancelled card.

same here...just got back from ocean city maryland and there's a $4.82 charge on my bank card...rotten *******s, get a life!!

Just found the $4.82 charge on my debit card !  No idea how they got my card number. Canceled card immediately and filed complaint with the government. Bank will refund charge when they determine it is fraud. This is extremely scary to me and I will be checking my balance daily after this!

Just got a charge from ScreenSaversRise.com on my credit card.  They are not available for calls.  I am filling out fraud charges for my credit card company.

The same problem - A charge out of nowhere for $4.82.  Have no idea what it is for.  I guess I will be cancelling the card in the am.

Just found a charge of $4.82 from screensavers.com.  Definitely unauthorized. Will be calling to cancel the card this morning.

I just checked my checking account and found a charge of 7.82. I called my bank and they cancelled my debit card and I'm signing paper work that its an unauthorized charge. I have no idea how they got my info.

i just got this charge on my credit card statement for $4.82,from screensaversrise.com.i didn't buy anything from them!! off to the bank and fight this monday morning.the links say its a scam so i 'll fight this.***ody called me----it just shows up on my statement,out of nowhere.

I just found a charge from my debit card and reported it to the bank.  They disabled the card and are sending a new one.  No phone call, just the debit from my account.

I also just notice a $1.82 charge on my credit cord from "screensaversrise.com", whom I have never heard of or dealt with. I called my bank, had them cancel the card and refund the charge. They also said that quite frequently these small initial charges are a test charge; if it goes through, they come back later and charge a huge amount to your account. No call, just a charge to CC.

Unauthorized charge on my VISA card.  Small amount, $4.82.  Unfortunately it will cost more than that to dispute the charge and get reimbursed.  Have no idea how they got my number.  Petty **** like this verifies why I have a specific account that I use online, low balances and low credit limit on the card so if worse came to worse, at least they wouldn't wipe me out completely.

Experienced same charge as many others. $4.82 charged to my debit card. Have no idea how they got my card # but they did. Had been in Vegas less than 1 week prior to the charge so that may be the source. Cancelled the card and immediately signed up with Lifelock. My bank was initially not helpful telling me they would charge me $10 for a new card. I got a liitle angry and was told there would not be a charge after all. I am disputing the charge and will get the money back. Be careful and watch your accounts closely. Hopefully Lifelock will stop this kind of ****.

Did not receive call.  Charge for $4.82 to our business account ( as recurring) so card info stolen possibly when card used to purchase a cell phone, as both charges authorized at same time.  Called bank immediately, canceled card.  Will take time to get credit and hopefully this will end it.  Called this number and got message unable to understand.  Thanks to others for valuable

Ran a $ 4.82 recurring charge on check card.  Had to cancel card.  Bank says they will credit us after opening fraud investigation.  Got number phone number from bank and called...no response, but now they have my phone #!  Thank goodness for the information these sites provide...at least we know we are not alone.

I had the same problem as previous posters.  I found a charge for $4.82 on my account, called the number and got a sketchy sounding voicemail, then had to call and cancel my check card.  I am currently going through the dispute process at the bank to get the money back.

ScreenSaversRise.com put through a $1.82 charge on my husband's debit card, listing this phone # as identification. After reading the posts on this site, I closed both his card and mine. I also disputed the charge - it's only $1.82, but it's still fraud. The officer at my bank said it was good that I'd come right in, because crooks sometimes s**** with a small charge to verify the card; after it goes through, they send in a bunch of big ones. I filed a report with the FBI site you provided. Thanks for your help, everyone.

Just noticed the charge today by checking my on line banking, charge was fro 4.82 I called and canceled my card and they are sending me a form to begin an investigation.  Not worried about the 4.82 want to be sure security is aware of it, they likely already are.

I saw the charge and my bank said I had to call screen savers , they were polite and said the charge would be removed . Two weeks later they charged me a***n . My bank would do nothing .. so I had them issue me a new debit card...six months later I recieved another charge right after making a small purchase from an online store in New Jersey . I canceled the card . I filed a complaint with the FBI site mentioned above..it was kinda lose info but hope it helps stop these creeps .

screen saver rise..charges small amounts,less than $10,to credit or debit cards . They hit over one million cards a year . They are based in eastern Europe . The bank will not help you stop these charges and don't bother calling screen saver, they just want time to hit you a***n ! I recieved no calls so they got my card number from ??? maybe a gas station or an east coast based online store..they seem to love New Jersey . This is the second time I've been hit..but this time only once . Use per-paid cards for online purchases , it may still cost you a bit of time or money but at least the money isn't going to fund criminals or *********s . Use cash whenever you can .

screen saver rise based in eastern europe applies charges less than $10 with stolen info on more than one million cards a year . cancel your card, don't even bother to call these****es . And your bank or credit company won't help you with any type of prevention . Find the FBI site for consumer card fraud and report all the info you have . Screen saver is either a criminal or ********* group and must be stopped.

I did not recieve any calls . I have a charge on my debit card that I did not authorize from screen saversrise .

I also check my cards for charges and found one from Screen saversrise.com.  When I called this number there was on one available to take my call.  Who do I call now?  I guess I will call the credit card company and squash it.

We have also had an unauthorized charge on our business card. When I called the phone # listed on the charge I was prompted to send them an email.(NOT HARDLY) That is when I found out the company is fraudulent. I have notified the card company and canceled the card. Please pass this information on to others. The charges may be small but they are probably just the beginning if you don't catch it!!!

Our business account has an unauthorized charge of $4.82 from Screen Saversrise.com with the above telephone number.  I am the office manager and only the owner any myself have access to our bank information, therefore I knew it was a fraudulent charge.  I called the number as soon as I saw the charge and I also received a broken voicemail asking for me to leave a message.  I then googled this information and came across this ad.  Very scary if you ask me!!  I immediately called my bank to report this scam and have they canceled my card so additional charges will not be made.  It is very scary to me that someone has the ability to obtain such private information and continue to make identical charges on different account and not be caught.  You would think that banks would automatically be on the look-out for charges like this.  My bank suggested that I file a police report in case these scam artists are apprehended.  They also asked if I would be willing to prosecute and of course I said "YES"!!  If you see charges like this on your account, do NOT ignore because it is a small charge.  Call your bank immediately to have all of your information c****ed.  These *****s must be caught and dealt with accordingly!!

I had a charge for $4.82 on my bank statement when I checked it online at 6 o'clock last Wedesday morning listed as "screensavers." Since I have never bought a screensaver, it got my attention. I went to the website listed and it was a joke, then googled them and found this link in google and sent it to all my email friends to be on the alert. I was at my bank when it opened and closed out my bank account and opened another and have spent the last week notifying everyone who direct-deposits and direct debits my account of what has happened. My bank told me if I hadn't noticed the charge and acted on it as quickly as I did, they could have come back later and cleaned out my bank account.

I didn't receive a phone call from this company but did have a charge on my cc.  I called the number on my statement and got a choppy answering ma****e message.  Left a message that we had not puchased anything from this company and was notifiying my cc company.  I did and they have canceled my cc.  Be aware of scams and always check statements!!

I boarder on OCD when it comes to checking my credit card statements and just had a charge for $7.82 get posted to my card from this website (ScreenSaversRise.com). I just got off the phone with the card company and had the card canceled, but this is the 3rd card I've hard hijacked in 6 months.Be aware of using your credit card at drive thrus and fast food restaurants. A new twist is for minimum wage works to get tapped for credit card data by these people. Employees swipe your card through a data collector & then run the transaction normally.Until the data is passed along from the employee to their contact, you won't even know it happened.

They are part of a large group of fraudulent websites processing hijacked card data into cash. The card data fraud laundering operation is ran by a multi year eastern European organized crime syndicate, operating from Eastern Europe. The fake sites are set up exclusively to process stolen card data, and launder the charges into cash. The stolen funds are then wired to various banks in Bulgaria, Latvia, Kyrgstan, and Cyprus.
