i read all of the above messages, and the same things happen to me, sports betting voicemails, **** up s if answered.  i think someone or so****ing (program) got our number from so****ing and just has it on a list.  i thought it was one of my friends calling me through a site and pranking me.  it is pretty frustrating.  one way to figure this thing out is what do we all have in common ?? personally, i live in a suburb of chicago, and i play poker a lot, (could be related to the gambling voicemails) although i am not a compulive gambler

I've been getting a number of strange calls from what I believe is the same number.  Certainly, its area code 240 everytime.  But the first few times, I didn't pay particular notice to the full 10-digits.  I believe its been 240-356-2250 every time and I certainly know that its been 240-356-2250 at least the past 3 times (over 2-3 weeks).  The entire series of calls has been going on for 2-3 months.If I answer, then there is no response and eventually (5-10 seconds) the call is disconnected.  If I don't answer, then the caller never leaves a message.

I receive calls on my cell phone a few times a week, but they do not leave a message.  When I do answer it is a recording for Sports Betting.

I get missed calls every week or every few weeks with no voicemail. When I call back I get a fast busy signal. Reverse Phone Directory says the number originates from Frederick, MD
