Leave a CommentI was so panic that caller said that I will be arrest next 30 to 45 minutes. IRS will not call you for the tax balance. The caller (Linda Jones) left a message and returned a call. The guy knew my name even I didn't give my name. This is totally scam!!!
Posing as IRS agent, gives a date for a "court case" when you'll also be "arrested."
Caller poses as IRS investigator. Will tell you you are under federal investigation and to call him back or else your file will be given to authorities and lead to your arrest. The IRS does not work that way. Pls read info from the IRS website: Five Easy Ways to Spot a Scam Phone Call https://www.irs.gov/uac/five-easy-ways-to-spot-a-scam-phone-call
Posing as an investigator for the IRS. When I called the number back, they answered as the IRS. Clearly not the IRS. Seems to be a call center from perhaps a South Asia country. There was lots of background noise. My response was, "Oh please!" And I ***g up. Block the number.
Caller poses as IRS investigator. Will tell you you are under federal investigation and to call her back or else your file will be given to authorities and lead to your arrest.
Caller poses as IRS investigator. Will tell you you are under federal investigation for tax evasion. They will give you an account number which she will expect you to repeat. Say no and she'll get mad and **** up.
