Got a call from 240.556.9966 (washington) around 10nish this moring. This is the first time that I got a call from this number on my private cell phone..but I’ve received other marketing calls before and a lot of them are from Florida!!!!These, unsolicited calls are an annoyance and waste of resources!!! Use call blocking for this number, besides opting out from their database.
I didn't take the call. No message left. I called back and got a recording saying that they would remove me from their call list if I pressed #1 on my phone, so I did. Don't know what will happen. I have received 2 spanish advert text messages recently, directing me to a website. Don't know if related. Here's information from whitepages reverse lookup:Type: Land LineProvider: Paetec CommunicationsLocation: Washington 236, MDUnpublished.paetec.com--they provide communication services.Maybe they own the number that someone else calls through, for whatever reason that person calls.
Love that we're all reporting this at the same time... I'm still waiting for the voicemail to pop up. Glad I didn't pick up ~ I was thinking at first that it might be one of my friends in MD calling me from their work!
no idea why they call me
This call came from a Maryland line, but was from Dean Logan, the Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. We don't have enough budget problems in California that we have to pay a company in Maryland to call cell phones in Los Angeles to notify voters that their polling locations for the May 19, 2009 special election might have c****ed?!
It is a recorded message saying so****ing about an upcoming election in Los Angeles.
An automated message in Spanish. Called at 5:44 PM Pacific.
