Trying to get money claiming to be federal officials

Claimed was IRS I owed back taxes from 2009-2014 totalling 1876.55. If I do not pay today in 1 hour police officer will come to my address with warrent for my arrest, with paperwork from IRS on criminal charges a***nst me which is strange because I file married so wouldn't it also be a***nst my husband as well? Also said they would freeze all bank accounts, put lien on my home and all other****ests. Called my attorney and he said it is a scam. If they call back ask for it in writing and tell them I do have an attorney who will be in contact once received.
