Leave a CommentBig Mike in Katy, how did your meeting turn out. I live in Katy as well, so it's not big deal to drive there. Did you get your trip scheduled? How long was the presentation?
Call came from Maryland to Kansas by land line at 13:29 hours CDT on 8-3-2010. Call not answered and no message left. The KFL PAC on the caller ID is the Kansas For Life political action committee.
unknown call no mesage
This number called this AM caller ID Pat Boone was in fact a Jim Ryan who had been a member of congress before he got voted out
This is from Kansans for Life
It is that time of the year, and yea, it's Kansans For Life disturbing all of us at home (because none of us obviously reads newspapers, watches the news, or is even educated on the political issues - so we must need a call at our homes. We must not be as smart as the people in Topeka & Washington.)And yes, despite that the area code is for Buckeystown, Maryland, phone companies for nearly a century have been selling other companies and organizations phone numbers in any area code of the world they want. Where the caller ID or the call says it is coming from is meaningless - someone working for a company/organization 2 blocks from your house could be calling you with a number that shows up as India. It's the same thing as 1-800 numbers (it just happens to be a 1-240 number in this case.)Telemarketers, politicians, and debt collectors (all three the s*** of the Earth) think that you are more likely to answer the phone if you see some "odd" area code and not a 1-800 number, so that's why they're using numbers like these. More legal gray-area tactics.Caller ID: KFC - PAC (Kansans For Life - Political Activist Call)Caller Number: 240-699-8950
I got a call from the 240 699 8950 and it imitates the Kansans for Life, but is definitely not a number from our state--KFL is a 316 number. We live in SE KS.
No message, no answer, !@#$%$%#$#$%&^ calling on my cell phone. ONE SITE= www.donotcall.gov. 30 days will make them stop, they are calling my new call #. If it happens within 30 days, I'm c****ing my#.
I just got a call from 240-699-8950 Harris County. I live in Harris County and it to puzzled me, so I looked it up and got all this info. I did not answer and I do not like getting these calls.
I also live in Houston, Texas i just got the same call. Hope they pay alot for long distance charges!
Just called my home number also. 240....Harris County...what dweebs! Really tired of getting s****ed calls!!! Thank God I have number blocking on my phone.Add another one to the list.
They must be busy in Houston today! I just received a call from this number and I too live in the Houston area. I reiterate that the 240 prefix, is NOT a Harris County, TX number. These people are both sneaky and not too smart!
These people are s****ing their Caller i.d. I live in Houston and the number 240-699-8950 came through with the Caller i.d. reading "Harris County." Harris is our County, but anybody who lives here knows full well that the area code 240 is not****ociated with an area anywhere close to us. Area code 240 is in Maryland. What idiots.
What happened with big mike? Was it a scam?

Called me on my cell phone to let me know my spouse and I won a free 4 night, 5 day cruise leaving Galveston, TX to the Caribbean. Left a number (800-277-2515) for me to call back and book passage.
I received a call today they left a voicemail saying I won two tickets. Im very skeptical
They invited to to have **** at the white house!
Left me a message on 7/16/2009 saying the same thing as the above people posted on... family member entered my name a year ago and my spouse and I won 2 free tickets to cozumel, not a timeshare, call a 1-800 number to redeem tickets... blah, blah, blah... i am hereby calling their bluff...
Got the call from the funny over excited woman. Said I won tickets to a cruise to cozemel. I never tried to call back. I like how they say u were picked from a contest you or a family entered "last year"! Throws u off a little because of the time spand. The woman's voice just *****ed me up.
Got a call from this number. It said I'd won two tickets from KJA for a 5 day 4 night trip on a cruise to cosumel. Said I won because me or some family member entered me in a contest. Said it was free. I just needed to redeem my tickets at 810 south highway suite 150 Katy, Texas 77079 at 3pm, 5pm, or 7pm on Thursday which is tomorrow (july 8, 2009) and listen to their offers with no obligation to purchase any. At the end of the message, it asked me to press 701. Said this is not a timeshare advertisment but a promotional offer that was made so I will use their services in the future. Sounds pretty su****ious.
This number called my cell phone and I do not give that number to anyone but family for emergency use.
Robomessage BS. To my CellPhone. Cost me $.35 in minutes.
Yeah i got a call from this number and they left a message saying i won free airline tickets because me or some family member entered our name in a contest, and i was told to call the number (800)-277-2515 for more information. This is bu***hit folks, =)
This number called and left me a voice mail spiel about how my spouse and I have won two plane tickets to anywhere in America. They left some 800 number to call back on...of course I won't do that. Just some silly telemarketing scam, no doubt.
Same thing - a recorded message to my cell phone, which is a business only phone, saying I'd "won" free airline tickets. I ***g up.
Recording states I won some round trip tickets and free accomodations, just press "1" to continue. I didn't press "1", but I did call the number back and requested I be placed on the do not call list.
received call from this number at my unlisted phone number-could not retrieve voicemail message
