these  idiots (AACC) bought a "bill" from "bay area credit service" which they bought from "collection bureau of america"who bought it from "money control" who bought it from ATT in the tune of 80.00 USD.after i transfered my phone service from ATT to local cable company. at the time of transfer the acc balance withATT was 0.00 USD.  month after the transfer ATT sent me a bill about 20 dollars. I called in. after checking, i wastold i did not owe any amount and they will take care of the mistake.  next month....same thing. a***n i calledetc..... after four months of that ****, i got tired of calling in and......    thinking ATT will have to get their headsout of their ****s to do their accounting-- i paid ATT 80.00 USD...   I WAS RIGHT.... they did get their heads out of their****s and issued a refund check for 80.00, saying i didn't owe them any money.   of course, before depositingthe money into my bank acc, i made a copy of it.next month, i got the old bill... from "money control" a collection agency.  i provided the info for the refund check...everything is taken care of, right?   no, it isn't.  they sold the bill to "collection bureau of america"....i a***n provided the info.  presumably after checking and seeing there is no debt, they in turn sold the bill to"bay area credit" schmucks.... a***n i provided all they need to go see for themselves i owe nothing..... evidentlythey did...... but since there is no honor a**** thieves either..... they turned around, sold it to these yo yoswho informed me their "client" will take 50 cent on the dollar.... i duly informed them how to sit and spin..... maybe they got bored doing that........ so now they call.....and call....and call.... as far as i'm concerned......theycan knock themselves out!

To clear everyone's questions...I have been dealing with this nuisance for years.  This is AACC, a debt collection agency who purchases old or uncollectable (statute of limitations) debts, and then tries to get people to pay.  PEOPLE, don't get ****ed into this.  In the state of California, you CANNOT collect a debt that is over 7 years old, I don't care if it is $1 or $10,000.  They cannot collect (unless you have signed a contract) which rarely is the case.  They will say, well, we'll take $20 a month (example) and work with you.  DON'T DO IT.  What that does, is as soon as you make that first "payment" you create a NEW unpaid debt (which is reported on your credit report) and from that point on they can collect .... from an OLD unpaid debt in which the statute of limitations has run out and is UNCOLLECTABLE (not reported on your credit report).  They can call as many times as they want, 100 or 1000 times a day....believe me, if they could lawfully collect, they would.  So, they annoy you, hoping you'll take the bait.  I have laughed in their face and told them, GO AHEAD, TRY TO COLLECT - YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T OR YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY.  Plus, show me some do***entation PROVING I owe that debt - they don't have it, can't produce the proof.  Nothing they do will stand up in a court of law, unless you take the bait and make that first "payment" to an old uncollectable debt.  Stand your ground.

I have had it out twice this morning with who ever that is that keeps calling over and over a***n "AACC". I s****ed off nice saying..."you've got the wrong number. please stop calling here." then fifteen minuets later they called right back a***n. I told them a***n... "you've got the wrong number. STOP CALLING HERE!". then about a half hour later. them a***n!!! I went off on the lady who answered the phone this time. I told the her to let me speak with her supervisor. she just kept saying..."NO." so I just kept saying it over and over... about twenty times. let me speak with your supervisor.  let me speak with your supervisor.  let me speak with your supervisor.  let me speak with your supervisor.  let me speak with your supervisor.  let me speak with your supervisor. GETTING LOUDER AND LOUDER. until finally I think I channeled Satan through my voice. LET ME SPEAK WITH YOUR SUPERVISOR LADY... BEFORE I CRAWL THOUGH THIS PHONE WIRE AND EAT YOUR GOD ****** HEART OUT! I finally got to speak with her supervisor. my throat still kinda hurts.

These people have several numbers, 804-234-9055, 866-266-7500, ext. 2437 and more. They have called for years for a Polish woman, perhaps under 18, perhaps not legally in this country. They can't even say her name the same way. I have told them endlessly, they have the wrong phone number. No one by that name ever had the number they are calling, or lived with me. My phone has been in the same name for 15 years, and , it is not HERS. I told the management company that they keep saying someone must know where she is. Management said she left and went back to Poland. DUH ! Why can't the AACC, Dwain Carter and his bunch find her in POLAND. Instead of calling her neighbors and claiming SHE owes them money and endlessly harrassing people not related, have no idea where MONICA WAKA****SKI is, but have to constantly be harressed by these people.

this is a debt collector service. when called, do not press any numbers, just let the system go through the teleprompt, then a human will answer. obviously someone who owes a debt is giving out random made up numbers.

I have been getting calls from this number (AACC), debt collectors, for some James A Morgan and had told them over a year ago that there was no one by that name here.  They continued to call and leave messages.  I finally got fed up and called them up.  First time, some lady said that she has noted the account and ***g up.  That ****ed me off.  I called back and said that I am asking you not to **** up and hear me out.  I repeated what I said the first time and asked for a supervisor.  She s****ed arguing and said that the previous time was the first time this was reported.  I added that if this continues, I am going to complain to the police.  She immediately added that she was going to do the same thing and ***g up.

Daily calls from AACC and number always returns a busy signal when called.  This has been going on for months and has become an irritating nuisance.

Keep getting calls from this number asking for someone I don't know.  They ask me if I'm his wife.  Who the?  What the?  They are a nuisance.

Repeated nuisance calls for someone who doesn't live at my residence. Can these calls be stopped?

I got a call with a message and some numbered choices. #4 was if the person cannot be reached at this number please press #4. I did. Someone answered and said thanks for calling Sumthin sumthin sumthin.... ***.

IN THE LETTER, AND ON THE PHONE IF YOU CAN'T OR DON'T WANT PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS,DON'T DISCUSS THE DEBT. ON THE PHONE, AND LETTER, SAY "i PREFER TO COMMUNICATE BY MAIL ONLY". HOWEVER, CONFIRM THIS IS THE CORRECT AND ONLY PHONE NUMBER FOR YOU. THAT IS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT WANT NEIGHBORS/BOSSES CALLED. IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A VERIFIED PHONE NUMBER FOR YOU, THAT GIVES THEM THEIR ONLY OUT--ONLY REASON THEY CAN CALL OTHERS. SO MY LETTER SAYS "THIS IS THE ONLY.....NUMBER FOR ME IF YOU ARE GOING TO VIOLATE THE CEASE AND DESIST, BUT MY REQUEST IS THAT YOU CONTACT ONLY BY MAIL.A***n, this applies only if you do not want to make payment arrangements.also let them know any calls to others will be considered an inconveninence. Don;t give them any ideas--I didn't mention "neighbors"--my big fear since I am in an apartment complex, but used boss as an example of an inconveninant call--but let it be known ANY OTHER is not approved.

Keep getting calls from AACC (no idea) asking for someone who does not live in my house. I get calls almost every day.

I got a call from AACC today at 1:05 pm.  I answered but ***ody answered the phone they just listened.  This has been going on for 5 months now!!  I want them to stop calling my house.  I don't owe anyone money.

I got a call at 11:00 A.M. It rang once and that was it.

Someone called from****et Acceptance asking for the wrong person.

I get these calls as well, but they are different.  It says, "This is an attempt to reach 'John Smith' (not my real name), and by continuing to listen, you acknowledge that you are John Smith........blah,blah,blah.  I'm going to send off that firing letter.  Thanks.

I am sick and tired of getting calls from numbers like this...I get many every day!!

These people keep calling me!!

Retraction:  I may have spoken too soon.  I****umed that it was Washington Mutual who gave my number to these people because I s****ed getting calls from 559-437-5359 at the same time, and I know they did give my number there.  This number 248-220-8709 seems to be from a debt collection agency and they are looking for Maria somebody (never heard of her).  Maybe they just got my number by mistake.

I get calls from this number and also from 559-437-5359.  The only company I gave my cell # to is Washington Mutual.  Apparently they collect numbers and sell to ****** telemarketers.  If this continues, I'll close my Washington Mutual account.  Those SOB's!!

I just got a call from AACC as well. The message doesn't have a beginning. Very strange especially after 8:00 p.m.

AACC  calles tow to three times a week from 8:00am till 8:56pm. it is always a computer recording that tells you to stay on the line to talk to someone. it is a collection place that collects on old bills. very old bills. they will harass you and anyone they can find that you know. they are not looking for me but someone i knew 6 years ago. they have said they would take me off the call list but that has not happpened. they are a third party collection place and YOU CAN FIRE THEM. if YOU owe someone money and another company calles you to collect you can fire them from the FAIR DEPT COLLECTION ACT. http://www.bendover.com/cdletter.aspcopy and past the link fill out the letter and mail it to them. hope this helps someone.

They only let it ring one time tonight and ***g up. How do I get them to stop calling. I can't take it anymore they never leave a message it is day and night. I have had to turn my phone off at work because of them.

This company keeps calling my cell phone with a recording that s****s up in the middle.  I had to google it to see who it was!

Harassing calls continue from****et acceptance.

There is a nasty, ****** collection agency called****et Acceptance, LLC that operates nationwide out of Warren, Michigan.  Most of their numbers have the 248 area code.  I'm not sure if this is one of their numbers, but it's very possible.

They are a debt collection agency called****et Acceptance.  IF they are calling me they have to be trying to collect on a really old debt though.

I received a call from this number but did not answer it and they did not leave a voicemail. I called it back and it didn't ring through or anything. Which means it's either a telemarketer or a bill collector. Both ****.

I just got a call from this number. I have no idea who they are. They wanted me to press some numbers to confirm so****ing.

Two days ago I saw this number on caller Id. I didn’t call back.
