Just had the same thing happen on my unlisted home phone. The guy left a message saying my name and SS# had been compromised and to call back at a different number. Sounds like a scam.

I have been recieving calls from David Hansen / Hanson for a few months now, only twice though.  I recieved calls from 248-274-9530 asking me to call back to 800-499-3869, stating that there was a problem with my Charlotte Russe account.  I called Charlotte Russe and they indicated that they don't even have credit accounts!  I also recieved a letter from this guy, printed on recycled paper off of an ink jet printer.  What a theif and a scammer.DO NOT call this guy back and DO NOT give him any information.  He is a theif.  The company he claims to be from (only when you give your name so he can match it up to the scam) is Independence Recovery which is registered in Michigan.

I got the call several days ago, i live in Daytona Beach.  He left a message about it being urgent regarding my ss#.  When I talked to him he said that I was involved in bad check writing or other fradulent activity.  He wouldnt give any other info.  It sounds like maybe he is debit collector or collection agency or investigator.  But remember if anything that you "won" or needs to be verified MUST be in writing from a legite service that you have requested.And Roger Hanson if you are reading this at least be honest who you are: I would gladly give you info.

Dave Hanson said that this message was urgent that someone was using my social security number.  So I called and it sounds like a scam.  The voice mail did not even have a company name.  I think they think I am ****** and was going to provide my Social Security Number.

Called 8.16am.  Automatic voice, told to call David Hansen concerning a matter of birthdate and ssn.  Callback number was 877-499-8639 I believe [pen did not work well].

He is calling my land line. I received a call on Feb 27th. An actual person. He "claimed" this was an urgent call and it conserned my neighbor?? He gave me an apartment # (scary) because it was a correct apt. #. He gave his name as Dave Hanson. He gave a call back number as (877) 499-3869. I do NOT like this guy having my phone number.

Received call on new cell phone # (Dec,2008)last night, 2/26/09 requesting SS#. Have no idea where he got my # but was insistent upon the SS#. ***g up on him.

I recently requested information online about health insurance. The caller identified himself as Dave H---? (I really couldn't understand the last name). Anyway he said he was an independent agent and left this number to call back: 248-225-2001. I believe this is legit because I did request information about health insurance.
