Leave a CommentI too received the same message from Gary Harpe, who stated that he was in charge of company expansion locally in Farmington Hills for full time positions. He told me that a collegue of his recommended me to him after seeing my resume posted online. Funny thing is I work in medical. I'm just glad that I googled the number and found out about his little scam.
Got the same message from Gary Harpe, in charge of company expansion locally in Farmington Hills, has full time and part time positions. Said he was a vice president of.... My name was supposedly recommended to him. I'm glad I googled the number to find out about the scam.
Count me a**** the GROWING number receiving a "we want you" message from VP Gary. Same exact "MO." Really glad I decided to google before calling. Would really like to find out how he got my work number.
I just got one too. Glad I googled this. Crazy!
Got the call at work today. Send an email to my bf, and he found this page. No, don't feel like selling mutuals ....
Same all around. Decided to give it a Google before calling back, glad I did!
Got same call 12/16. Message was same as described above message trailed off after he said he was the VP. I returned his call today. He couldn't remember leaving me a message. Said he was heading into a meeting but that he would get back to me tomorrow. When I questioned him about his company he said that he worked for CitiCorp and had full time and part time postions available with good pay. When I asked what they were for he cut me off said he had to go but would get back to me.....
I received a message on my work voice mail late Tuesday evening. "Local expansion" and "your name was given to me" are so bogus because anyone who knows me knows that I reside out of state and telecommute to a company HQ'd in Michigan. So "local expansion" would be meaningless to me. He seemed to deliberately slur or ****le his words when he spoke his last name and company name. My research shows it's someone named Gary Harraf.
Same as above. Called work and left message on 11/14/08. No detail and VP of ?????. Claims my name was given to him - bla, bla, bla.
10/27/2008Still at it. I received exact same voicemail om my office phone. This s***bag has the ritual pretty well rehe****d. Exactly like the other messages he said he "was a vice president of....and his voice trailed off."This is just another form of spam, now via telephone.
Gary Harp called my work number as well. Left the same message that everyone else is describing. Said he was VP of .... company. He trailed off when naming the company. I replayed the message, but could not at all understand the company name. Certainly a scam when they don't provide any sort of job description or company name.
Just got a call today (July 29, 2008) from Gary Harp as well. Same message with the same drop out at "VP of ...". Just look on the internet to see if his name and number would match a firm's website, and found this match.
Got the exact same message as CP did, about 1 month ago, also at my work phone. CP quoted exactly what he said, so I won't bother to retype, down to the point where I could not understand what he was the VP of. (what VP calls to find new hires??) I haven't called back.
Left a message on my voicemail at my current job with his name, Gary Harp, in charge of company expansion locally in Farmington Hills, has full time and part time positions. Said he was a vice president of....and his voice trailed of so I couldn't understand "of what". Su****ious.
Called about a job, but never said what kind of job or what company
