Leave a CommentI just spoke with Brian, and it's funny to see people getting all wrapped up about someone calling them about a****ential career. Anywho - he is very straight up in conversation. I've agreed to meet him next week. If I think of it (which I probably won't) I'll post back. But I'm convinced there's nothing funny. Hell, the guy's been doing this from this # for at least a year!
This guy is skirting the FCC 'Do Not Call' guidelines by implying that someone 'referred' you to him. If you didn't ask him to call you, complain to: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
He called me today and left a message about a position. This site is great, I had no idea who he was.
I just got off the phone with Brian, and contrary to the above post, there seems to be no scam. He is looking for people who might be open the becoming a financial planner, and once I said that I was not, he very quickly and professionally ended the conversation, first asking me to pass his name on to others who might be suitable. If it's a scam, it's a strange one. All recruiters leave ***ue messages, so there's nothing odd there.
Brian Blum called and asked for my husband, by first and last name. I asked if I could take a message and he said it was rather long and he just wanted to leave it on the answering ma****e. So he called back and I let it go to voice mail immediately I checked to see what the message was. What he left he could have told me bc it wasn't long and was ***ue after all - I just knew it was some scam! I too am on the DO NOT CALL LIST and we only use our landline for long distance/internet calls, so I'm like "who knows to ask for us directly on this line - my mother doesn't even have this number!"It disturbs me to know 1. where did you get my unlisted number and 2. how do I stop you from ever calling back. ****t-why we're unlisted and on the National Registry)
Like above...Brian recruits for a financial planning firm, and was brief and decent to talk to.
Brian called me too....same purpose. Seems like an OK guy - and he certainly wasn't trying hard to convince me.
I just spoke with Brian, and he was extremely polite and decent to deal with.
Very professional and nothing to hide.
Brian called and spoke with me....he is very nice, and once he knew I did not want to explore the financial field, he just asked if I knew someone who might.
Brian Blum (SP?) called me and was looking for people who might consider a career in the financial field. Not pushy, nothing odd. Very direct and very polite.
Brian Blum? called and wanted me to consider looking into financial services as a career. While I don't want to, he was very pleasant to talk to, and very direct.
