I just got a text message from "9099". The message reads "customer issue, california credit union service frozen. please call at 248 547 3189". I think it's a scam.

I just got the call too and have reported it to my cell carriers fraud department and they are filing a police report. I have also filed a police report.

I just this post on another website, it is a scam to get credit card numbers, don't call it --"I just got it too. It's a scam. Call the police and report that number. When you call, they ask you to enter your credit card #. So they are trying to get credit card numbers."

I just received this text and also have no account with them.  How did they get our numbers?  I thought companies aren't suppose to spam our cell numbers.

The area code 248 is Clarkston, Michigan...definitely not Glendale, Calfornia.

I too just received a text from "9099" stating the very same thing.  I do not have an account with California Credit Union, nor have I ever.  The phone number it mentions that I should call is not their number according to their website, all their contact numbers are toll free, excluding one which has a 414 area code.
