Consumer Debt group. They fish for numbers to hijack and try to extort info from you.

Called my cell and all they said was "I'm sorry" and ***g up.

They are "sorry" all right.  I just the "I'm sorry" guy on my cell phone.  I have a pre paid phone that I switched to a couple of years ago because I was tired of paying AT&T $95 a month for phone service.  Silly me, I thought that would also cut down on the "junk" phone calls.  I believe they are testing the phone numbers on their data base to see which ones are valid.

same thing.  I called back and it said the number has been disconnected

Called my cell phone and left voicemail from a Lisa Middleton (no company name provided) that they could lower my interest rate to 1.5%. Left a return number of 1-877-723-1426.

The "im sorry" guy just called.This is the second time in a week this has happened, the last time the call came from a fake 888 number.

Just got a call on this number on my cell. I got the "i'm sorry" and the line went dead.I'd venture a guess they're autodialing or calling numbers they find in classifieds websites.

Just called my extension at work. All they said was "I'm sorry" and ***g up.

They called my cell  # and left a message on my vm saying they could lower my interest rate to as low as 1.5%.  She didn't say what company she is with.  She said she had already talked to me about this and she was just following up.  Have no clue who or why she called me as I never talked to anyone about lowering an interest rate so not sure why she is calling me.
