I received a call from this number too. However, It seems that ***ody care abut this situation. Many calls are received from many different phone numbers and many people complaint about it, making a comment via inter net, but nothing c****e.

We got that same call and my husband let them send an envelope for a donation.  I threw it out when it came.  Didn't realize it was the same number that generated other "charitable" solicitations.

This was a solicitation to help "kids burned in fires".  The guy used my first name only and acted like we were old friends.  I ***g up after a few seconds.

I too received a call from this number and they said they were "Foundation for American Veterans".  I was in a hurry and agreed to give them a donation.  Now they are calling every day.  I am going to look up info for them before sending any $.  Probably another scam.  How do we get them to quit calling?

This phone number is now disconnected.  I received a phone call from The ****** Cancer Support Foundation asking for a donation.  I confused it with another group and said they could send me an envelope.  When I got the envelope, I checked on the internet and couldn't find anything on them.  In the mean time I s****ed getting many, many calls from this Southfield MI phone number.  My husband answered it once, and it was the above Foundation telling him I needed to send in my donation.  I then checked on the phone number on the envelope 866-825-2728 on this site.  It seems that others are getting these calls, and suspect it's a fraud.

got a call today/5/13/10no message.  '248' is Michigan - I know no one there.

Got a call from 248 996 1997 Michigan on 8/11/09 tuesday. they left no message. First time I've had this call.

I got a call from this number. I only know one person in Michigan and this wasn't them. When I checked my voicemail, there was no message from them.

Called back and number has been disconnected. Hence, it's BS and not worthy of further comment. May the calling party die screaming.
