Leave a CommentI received a text stating that my debit acrd was deactivated to call 251-202-4410.
Just got the same text on my company phone. Called from a landline and it was not working. When I didn't dial 1 I got what sounded like a fax ma****e.
Got a text , on my cellphone , that is not listed , and has never been given out . So they must just spam an entire area code . The number is listed in Alabama , to an unlisted party (big surprise there ) I'm going to call the local sheriff dept. and give them the number .
Yeah, they sent a text message to my company provided WORK cell phone saying that my "credit / debit card had been deactivated" and to "call 251-202-4410 to 'reactivate it!'." ...... Oh brother!, I don't know what they're up to, but it can't be good. I imagine that they might be trying to get your card #, expiration date & PIN from you. I didn't call them (I just double checked with my bank ... no problems) ... I don't think you should either!
Yeah it's a scam. They texted my cell phone and I don't give that number out.
Got a call from this number and when I called they said I had reached a banking ins***ution and that my credit card had been deactivated - press one to reactivate. I ***g up. I wonder if this is just a Sprint/Nextel thing?W7A9
This number texted me at 2am. It said they deactivated my debit card for security reasons. I was disoriented from sleep and I called it. I gave these ****s my info...then it said "THANK U FOR BANKING WITH US". Right then I knew I got scammed. So I called my real bank and had my card cancelled. This is a major scam and these people should be caught! :(

Called from land line out of curiosity and it is an computer voice just saying its a 24 hour credit line, and enter one to reactivate your card or two to leave. Major scam
I KEEP GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE ONLY THIS ONE IS SAYING THAT IT IS DC TEACHERS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. I DON'T BELONG TO A CREDIT UNION AND THEY ARE ASKING ME TO ENTER MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO THEM, HOW DO YOU REPORT THEM.
Same message to re-activate credit card number by text messaging this number but with no other information or to what company they are representing, sounds fishy!
