Leave a CommentFor anyone that doesn't want to receive calls from this number (MAS)....simply block the number. That's what I did because I know that I don't owe any medical bill, or other outstanding debt.
A collection agency, isn't necessarily a "spammer" but beware of FAST PAY OPTIONS and any tactic used to get you to pay a debt quickly. No matter how small the debt, trust me on this! ["Merchants Adjustment Service is a full service medical, commercial,
I didn’t answer
This person calls at least 5 times a day. Robo****er keeps the calls from ringing BUT they can still leave messages.
I've got calls from this number several times asking for some sara person. Keep in mind I just got this number because I went to a different cell provider.Anyway, for 2 weeks Ive been just letting these calls go to my voicemail. Today I decided to answer and let them know I just got my new number a few weeks ago. This guy argued with me about who I was. I told him I wasnt this sara girl. I said who I was and he said no your voice mail says Nay! Duh you *****! Nay is short for my name! He was down right hateful to me. I finally just ***g up on him. I wish they would stop calling.
This company is a real pain in the a** to deal with. Still having problems &cannot get anything done.I have contacted the Alabama Attorney General's Office & also the FTC.
My daughter received a call from a Ms. Evans about a bill from Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.She was taken to the emergency room in May. She listed her Oxford address and gave the hospital her phone number. The bill from the emergency room doc was sent to our home address in Madison, MS.We paid that bill. Then, Blue Cross sent us a statement about what they paid the hospital about a month later. We thought that was it...that our bill was paid in full. Then, my daughter gets a phone call from this collection agency. I could tell she was having a hard time on the phone. She is 24 and said I'm going to let you talk to my Mom. They didn't want to talk to me. Ms. Evans, in a hateful, accusatory tone told me that we (my daughter) owed $864.74. I said fax me the bill and I will pay it. She said she could not do that. I said I will not send or give you any money unless I have a piece of paper, a bill. She kept refusing, demanding the money. I thought it was a scam. I kept after her and she ***g up on me. I called the number back and said who are you? What company is this? I got as much info as I could and I let her have it for being so abusive.I then contacted the hospital. It took me several days to do this. They were never in. I left messages and no one returned my phone calls. Finally, I reached someone. They had been sending their bill to my daughter's address in Oxford, although she moved out the week after her hospital visit. I asked why they couldn't track us down from our Blue Cross insurance and why they had never called my daughter about the bill since they had her number. Anyway, my daughter who now lives in Colorado had to call them and get them to mail the bill to our home address.I have since paid the bill, but today (Jan. 31, 2011) MAS called my daughter. She said they were very abusive even after she told them the bill had been paid. To summarize...these people need to be put out of business. I am going to file a complaint with the Mississippi Consumer Protection Agency and I am going to contact the hospital administrator. Why would you not try a little harder to get a bill paid before contacting a collection agency with a dubious reputation? I am really glad I found this site and read all the other negative comments, including the ones from people who thought the abusive calls represented a scam.
This place is a real pain in the a** to deal with. Very rude & nasty.
This company is making my life***** at the moment. Very rude, won''t take my calls, Telling me that I need to contact their attorney regarding the debit, will not even take my calls to see if my payments are being reported correctly. But the payments I am making for the debt are suppose to be reported to MAS. I found that my payments are not being reported by MAS.to the attorney or to the original creditors. The original creditors are not reporting my payments also.I am keeping detailed records of my payments. I have no idea what to do. Is there anything I can do? Someone needs to contact the FTC or the State Attorney General regarding this company.

just recieved a call from this company and was severely treated with an audacious and rude at***ude. Told I had out standing bill that was covered by INSURANCE. After being ***g up on; I returned the call. They then stated the sent me mail, explained I have not been billed, we argued only to find out they didn't even have the correct address for me. Hmm go figure. Then they stated the hospital never told them of an insurance on my case, Hmm go figure. The last fight was of a comment made that all the info from the radiology****ociation in whom there collecting for, sent all my records to my doc. Guess what was just there yes****ay and had to ask my doc to send for my record on that ER visit! Then to top it all of she stated this doc whom read these report also billed me, I never saw this doc in person (ER visit),I gathering he must have gotten his info from this company too. Then was told by this company they are going to send it to my credit reports. Well, the difference between me and this company is I will be filling complaints with agency for the threats and abuse that I have recieved. Will do a follow up with the company they are so called collecting for and will utilize the agancy that govern over this type of buisness and practises.
I recieved a phone call today regarding "MAS", telephone number 251-476-6666. I was confronted by a "Miss Jones", and was severely treated with an audacious and rude at***ude. I was informed of a medical bill that has been paid in full by my insurance company, however, "MAS" attempted at "collecting" $114 from me. I was informed that, "this is your last chance to pay your bill before we take legal matters. I informed "Miss Jones", that I will recieve my income tax at the end of the month, and should such an outstanding medical bill warrant, after careful file and fact checking; a payment it would be made then. I was informed that, "that is not how this is going to work!". I happen to work in collections myself, and with first-hand knowledge, that a certain level of professionalism must be maintained. I was treated like a second-class citizen by a women who did not have the common decency to allow me to finish my sentence. I have never, and will never a***n, acknowledge this company or their employees a***n. Minutes after recieving this telephone call, I placed a call to my own attorney; who attempted at calling "MAS" on my behalf. They were curt, obnoxious, and downright henious to an individual that could have facilitated a mutal and prompt payment. The following is my sole opinion: To "Miss Jones": I, also being in the collection field, understand that sometimes it takes a bit of "bare knuckles" to have a client pay their outstanding bill. You, however, have no tact, sensability, and the common understanding to warrant sharing the same oxygen as most human beings. I understand that it is merely a job, and you are doing just that....your job, however, your ****ods are pre-historic, demeaning, and remind me of a mobster's loan shark. I ask you, "Miss Jones", in your quest to dominate the field of collections, do you remove the dishes from the sink before you **** in it? You should be ashamed of yourself, and the tone of voice that you so specifically choose to utlize to a****ential delinquent debtor. I say, shame on you!
M A S INCDGN NO that is what showed up on my caller id. I refused to return the call. Not only do they have 666 in their number but it looks like Mass incognito on the caller id. Someone did leave me a message the first time and I never understood what he said he name was. He did want me to call some 800 number. Seems really fishy to me
I received this call today from a Ms. Cook. I was not home because it was 11:52a.m. I called back tonight and left her a voicemail to call ME back. When and if she calls back tomorrow, I will be recording the call!
Who is Ms. Cook calling me from 1-251-476-6666
This company keeps calling when I am not home, but today I was. The guy was not only rude but actually threatened me! I instructed him {he would not give his name} to send an itemized billing statement and then I would see. He told me "NO! You WILL pay me NOW, you b***h!" I asked his name 4 times, he refused, just kept telling me"Don't play with me, b***h, you WILL be sorry!" I finally told him to "Cease and desist~YOU ARE FIRED!" and ***g up. I will be reporting this idiot and this company to the State Attorney General's Office for threats of ****** harm!
Keeps calling, leaves extremely nasty voicemails! At LEAST 4 calls a day! Leaves a very garbled name. Talk about harrassment!
After reading all these posts, my blood is boiling. I've tried calling back at least 5 times and its becoming evident that this is just a scam looking for innocent people to pay them money. I can confidently say that I don't owe any money on medical bills. I can't wait to talk to these lowlifes tomorrow.
Got a call from this number today and a voicemail asking me to call an 800 number.
These guys keep calling me too. I asked what M A S was and he got ****ed..never answered, just kept asking more questios. I ***g up. 6/29/2010
MAS keeps calling me regarding my son in the military. They ask for credit card numbers. Don't deal with these guys. Bad news.
i do not owe any medical bills. My friend died in May of this year, so if he owe bills i guess they will have to gather up all of his ashes from the military grave and cash them in for payment. I will not call them back, and if they do call and become rude they will be reported to the television news that love to cover this kind of story...... Bite Me.....
They called me this afternoon. Left an 800 number with instructions to call and ask for Miss Jones. I didn't call the 800 number, but hit the return ****on,-251-476-6666, was told it was MAS. I asked to speak to Miss Jones and she answered. I was treated rudely. I asked why she had called me, what she was calling for. She demanded to know my name and my telephone number. I wouldn't give them to her because I had no idea who she or her company were, not even a hint of explanation. I****umed it was a phishing expedition of some sort. After a minute of haggling, she said so****ing rude and ***g up.
Same here as with Krice, and yes they are **** near rude. I have no outstanding medical bills but these guys have been calling for three weeks. I work night shift so I never catch the calls and the guy whose extension was left on my voicemail is never at his desk when I call back. Annoying, annoying, annoying!
Agent asked for me, I told him I wasn't there. He then went on to say that this is not a telemarketing call, but an "important personal matter" and asked if I could take down the callback number, which is: 800-239-6043
Calls but will not leave any information except telephone number. Curt and terse bordering on rude.
