Bogus return phone number. Credit Card Collector for Bank of America. How kosher is it that they can call and place a bogus return phone number in the caller ID? The collector was Kurt at best. Asked if I could borrow from friends or family to pay the debt. I explained several times that I don’t have enough to pay and he just kept rephrasing the same question. I am in a business where my customers depend on financing. Even those with stellar credit scores are being turned down, many by BOA. I can attribute about 13k lost income in the last seven months just to clients who have been denied viable terms just by BOA. With this income, all of my payments would have been made. One of the clients had a credit score of 840. This is the vicious circle the country is in right now. The banks aren’t lending money. Therefore, those of us who sell the products that most people finance can’t make our payments. Those who manufacture those products are also suffering. Until seven months ago, I had never been late, much less missed a payment. I am looking for ANY job that will meet my obligations - - at my age it’s not likely. Only 20% of the graduating class of Mechanical Engineers at Columbia University were offered jobs last year. What are the odds of a 53 year old salesman being offered a job? Way to go Washington, you bailed out the banks with NO edict that the money would trickle down - - but the bank hierarchy got their bonuses. The solution, during the next election, be it democrat or republican, if they voted for the bailouts DON’T VOTE FOR THEM. REELECT NO ONE!  On the lighter side, if the guy with a credit score of 840 couldn't get suitable terms; I'm not sure that my credit score matters any longer. Please keep me in your prayers.
