Leave a CommentSame as others, attempt to steal personal information. 4-18 claims to be from [email protected]. Wants you to call number and says "press 1 to activate your card".
I received a text page from this number on my company pager. The page claimed to be from [email protected], and the sender claimed to be Harris Bank. The text said it was an "alert notice" and that I needed to call the number. Needless to say, I didn't. The website for Harris Bank is harrisbank.com, not harris.com. And Harris Bank is a midwest-region bank in Chicago, but the number is a landline based in Washington. Definitely a scam. Beware.
I received a message from this number "from: [email protected]" asking me to "press 1 to activate your card". I ***g up and googled the number.
This phone number is currently being used to steal bank card information. The following link has the announcement from the affected bank, Sandia Laboratories Federal Credit Union. If you don't trust the link, Google it.I'm guessing a**** area code will text someone to call back to a 253 area code. That's what I got, anyway. Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.
