These people do not have my permission to call my cell phone and call at least five-six times a day and are in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA)which prohibits debt collectors from calling my cell phone without my permission and I understand that each unauthorized call could result in them paying me up to $1,500. The only way this statute is not violated is if express consent has been given. An unintentional call carries a damage amount of $500; an intentional call carries a damage amount of $1,500 and that is per call regardless of the purpose of the call. In other words, if you company calls using an automated dialing system without my consent, you have violated the Act thisen***les me to damages.

I think it is rediculous that these people call from 10 different numbers.  Here is the clincher!  It is not my bill!  They are harrassing me relentlessly for so****ing my ex-husband owes! I receive these calls and now know it is from NCO.  I too, know that I owe american express.  They call under several different numbers. The name of the company never shows. They leave messages on my work telephone number and the music plays for 30 seconds and then they **** up. I feel this is very unprorfessional and would like it to stop but of course, until I pay this bill, they will continue to call.  They call seveal times a day and just **** up. Keep calling using diffrent phone numbers never leave a message

phone rings I answer and no one is on the line dead silence. I get about 10-20 call per day and no one is ever on the line. Phone rings from 8am till 9pm

This company calls me at least 10 times a day s****ing at 8:01am up until 8:59pm. I've answered the phone and no one is there. I'm a little behind on some bills but nothing to warrant this kind of harrasment. I've been instructed by my attorney to make a log every day of every time they call and he will report them to the Attorney General my advice is to do the same, and keep filing complaints

They won't quite calling and don't leave messages. I don't answer strange numbers that I don't know.

Continuous phone calls from a company that appears to be collecting a debt from the wrong person. This company called using the following numbers over the past two days.

if your going to call, leave a message. So we can get back to you......Several phone calls per day, with no one on the line or NO MESSAGE!!!!!UGGG

i get these calls too.  i used to work for a collection agency, the rules are that they can only call a person so many time a day for collections.  if you answer the phone and talk to them, that counts as a call.  if no one answers the phone or the answering ma****e answers, it doesnt count towards their total calls.  this is how they get by the x amount of calls per day and can keep calling.  this is also why they call every few mins.  another thing they do is have ways of c****ing there caller id to get people to pick up, and i have heard of collectors dialing the numbers from there cell phones and then when you answer they call with the ma****e dialer, this way they can see if you are home.  there bosses dont care as it is possibly making the company money and not costing them phone call charges as it is the workers personal phone.

HERE'S A TIP: For annoying frequent calls (ie debt collectors) to your cell phone you could save the numbers that call and****ign them a unique ringer ID to ring as 'Silent'. So you'll get the call but it won't ring your phone and bother you. Then instead of getting annoyed or frustrated you can just laugh. Sure it seems they call from a million numbers but after a week or two you'll have them all saved and silenced. (ps. I ran into an old Nokia phone with no Silent setting so possibly you could just create your own ringtone with just of couple "pauses".)

Apparently NCO has nothing better to do than call several times daily every day & from several different area codes. Won't leave a message or no one's on their end when answered.

This is the third # this company uses to ****ard our phone line with calls from 8a-9p. They don't leave a message but continue to call sometimes a***n after just ****ing up.

Our story's pretty much the same as the previous.  Calling several times a day s****ing early until late.  They won't leave a message or when you answer there's no one there.  This is the fourth # they use to call us daily.

This number calls my 12 year old daughters cell phone all day looking for someone. She, and I have told them she is  not that person infact she is a child. When I called the number they then got my home number and now call it daily EVERY day. Who are they? We tell them we are not the person they are looking for and they tell me to give her a message to call them. We don't know whom she is!!!

this caller s****s right at 8 am, doesn't quit til after 9 pm.  calls about every 6 or 8 minutes, tying up my answering ma****e with a series of beeps, bothering me in general. they may be looking for my step son but he doesn't live here & we are not responsible for his payments, he's an adult & has a job.  i've told them to remove this number from his acct as it isn't his number & he doesn't live here.  i've given them his cell number.

I'm tried of been herased or treaten by them I low on cash and I know I have to pay them but do they know that people have hard time now days we are not like the rich people that don't care cause it was given to them our someone has a sugerdaddy or mama.

Calls everyday from this number and quite a few others all for the same company.  No messages left and when they finally leave a message it's "you need to call our office to handle an important matter".  If it is this important that they reach me why don't they send out mail so we will know and have their number on the mail.  How do you make this stop!
