This number showed up on caller-ID as NCO.  Tried calling it back.  Number always seems to be busy

CALLED EARLY/ STRANGE NUMBER THAT I DIDN'T ANSWER....THE PHONE RANGED SEVERAL TIMES THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.TO ME THAT MEANS THE CALL WAS NOT IMPORTANT.

This is a collection call for a collection agency.

Caller ID= 253-248-6408 SOWA...Thanks to another person who posted here previously, I look at WWW.SOWA.ORG.It is the Special Olympics of Washington.  They may be reached at:Main Number: 206-362-4949 Fax: 206-361-8158.- - -Calls from (253)248-6408 likely are paid solicitors (often they receive 40% to 85% of your donation AND -- Lucky Us! -- they then have your personal data for more junk calls (maybe even Iden***y Theft!).- - -Charitiies should realize that anyone with an IQ greater than a roll of toilet paper knows how to contribute to a charity without being bothered by junk calls.  Anyone reading this who is less intelligent than a roll of toilet paper, please accept my sympathy.

A very smarmy woman called my **cell phone** in Washington State, called me by my first name as if she knew me, and gave the name of a fundraising group which, unfortunately, I didn't quite catch.I asked her if I knew her, and she said "No", at which point I asked her why she was referring to me by my first name if we had never met.  She said "oh, sorry" and just ***g up.  She clearly sensed I wasn't going to give her money, and must be earning her own pay according to what she's able to raise.When I called the number I also got the message, "thanks for calling Donor Services", as mentioned above.They seem to represent very large, conservative, mainstream charities that prey on your pity or patriotism to extract money from you, primarily in the Southeastern US:****ociation of the Deaf, Salvation Army, Enlisted National Guard****ociation, Jaycees, American Legion, VFW, MS****ociation of America, and Special Olympics.The only groups they listed for Washington were VFW, and Special Olympics.I pressed "1" when calling the number back to hear a VERY long list of all these charities, state by state.  It gave me the option of hearing the list a***n.  When I didn't immediately press 1 a***n, the voicemail system ***g up (perhaps 3 seconds after it asked if I wanted to hear the list a***n).These people are obviously s***bags.

Called and when I answered, caller didnt say a word

253-248-6408 called around 2:45 PM on 8/7/2007 asking for the Company Owner, but when questioned did not know which company she called. When asked who she was looking for specifically, she said only "Rose" with no last name. Once she realized I had no intention of cooperating she got off the line.
